The early morning sun cast a soft, golden glow over Mount Myōboku, illuminating the lush landscape with its ethereal light. The ancient, towering toad statues that dotted the area seemed to come to life under the gentle warmth, their surfaces glistening with morning dew.
The air was cool and crisp, filled with the earthy scent of damp moss and the faint, sweet fragrance of blooming wildflowers. In the distance, a small waterfall cascaded down the rocky cliffs, its sound a soothing backdrop to the peaceful scene.
As the sun continued to rise, the dense canopy of trees began to reveal the myriad shades of green that made up the forest. The leaves rustled softly in the morning breeze, creating a gentle symphony of nature's whispers.
On a large, flat stone near the edge of a tranquil pond, a gathering of toads sat in quiet meditation. Their eyes were closed, and their breaths were deep and steady, matching the rhythmic pulse of the natural world around them.
At the heart of Mount Myōboku, a grand temple stood, its wooden beams and intricate carvings now bathed in the early light. The temple's doors creaked open, and a lone figure emerged, silhouetted against the glowing horizon. It was Fukasaku, the wise old sage, his demeanor serene as he greeted the new day with a calm and knowing smile.
Jiraiya sat cross-legged on a large leaf, his brow furrowed in concentration as he scribbled his report. The dense forest around him was alive with the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves, but his focus remained unbroken.
"It has been two and a half months since I began my search for Tsunade," he wrote, the scratching of his pen the only noise in his immediate vicinity. "In that time, I've encountered one lead, which turned out to be an imposter. Despite my best efforts, my search has yielded nothing. I fear the worst may have already happened."
He sighed deeply, rolling up the parchment with a practiced motion and tying it securely. Turning to the small frog perched beside him, he handed over the scroll.
"Deliver this to Minato," Jiraiya instructed.
The frog gave a solemn nod, taking the scroll into its mouth. With a puff of smoke, it vanished, leaving Jiraiya alone with his thoughts and the persistent hum of the forest.
-Unknown Location-
"Madara! It's time for your first meal!" Tsunade called out, her voice echoing through the grand throne room.
As she entered, she found Madara standing, examining his body with a critical eye. Her own eyes widened as she took in his transformation. Just days earlier, his skin had appeared ready to fall off, sickly and pale. Now, it looked vibrant and healthy.
His muscles had changed dramatically as well. His arms were more toned, his chest fuller, and his abs, once nearly skeletal, had returned to their former strength.
"You're not supposed to be moving!" Tsunade shouted, her frustration evident. "Are you trying to make this impossible for me?"
Madara turned slowly, his gaze not meeting hers. "You are no longer needed."
"What?!" Tsunade exclaimed, her confusion turning to anger.
Madara stepped closer, stopping just in front of her. "Look."
Tsunade set the food down gently and extended her hands toward his chest, green chakra radiating from her palms. "Your body is still in horrible condition! What do you mean?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly as she turned her gaze back to him.
"Pay attention," Madara said bluntly.
As she refocused on his body, Tsunade's eyes widened in shock, her jaw dropping. "What..? You're... healing, rapidly. At this pace, you'll be completely healthy in three hours."
