Me, my dad and Grover were in the car, driving somewhere, but my dad refused to tell me what's going on.

I'm in the passenger seat, and Grovers in the backseat.

I turn around in my seat, to face Grover.

"Who are you?"

I ask. Grover looks at me.

"...I'm Grover. Your bestfri-"

"What are you?"

I interrupt, correcting myself. Grover blinks a few times, before taking off his toque, to reveal he has horns. Horns. What. The. Hell.

"..I'm a Saytr. And, I'm also your protector."

He says. I raise an eyebrow.

"My 'protector'?"

"If I hadn't gotten you kicked out of Yancy, you would've never survived the night. And what's chasing us now would've found us easily."

Grover says. I look at my dad, then Grover, my dad, then Grover.

"Wha.. what's chasing us?"

I ask.

"There's no time to explain, buddy. We don't have much time. We have to get to the border."

My dad says, pressing on the gas more.

"The border? Of the States!?"

I exclaim. My dad facepalms.

"No, Kay. The border of Camp."

Grover says. I look at him.

"The border of what?"

"Camp. Oh, God. Your father really did tell you nothing."

Grover mutters.

"We don't have the time for this, Grover."

My father says, obviously hearing what Grover said.

Grover smiles a little.

"Okay. My bad."

He says, before his smile fades, as he looks through the window at the back.

"Mr. Davis, uh, we might need to drive faster."

I look through the mirror my dad usually looks through, and my heart drops. There's some big beast with a horn catching up to us.

"Dad, drive. Drive. Drive!"

I exclaim. My dad drives faster, which only makes the ugly beast thing speed up. I look at Grover.

"What on earth is that thing?!"

"It's a Minotaur, and it's not gonna stop until it gets you."

He says. I look at the Minotaur thing, then back at Grover.

"...It looks like you whenever I wake you up early on a sleepover."

I tease. Grover facepalms at me.

"Hilarious."

I giggle a little. Maybe me and Grover will be okay after all.

The Minotaur catches up to us, and the car serves as it hits the trunk of the vehicle. Me and Grover both collectively let out a sound of surprise, grabbing onto the handles of the car as my dad increases his speed again.

"You both okay?"

My dad asks, unable to look at us, as he's focusing on the road which is slippery. It had started pouring.

"Yeah, we're good."

Grover says. The Minotaur rams into the car, bringing us into the ditch.

I remember nothing else. The only thing I knew was that sleep came earlier then I thought it would.
