Monsters.
You may think you know enough about them.
But, do you, really?
Perhaps you should ask yourself, 'Is all of this really true?'.
You might just come to find that not all things are as they appear. Many years ago, in a town somewhere with modern Japan, two girls are blissfully hurrying through the streets.
They're no ordinary girls, of course.
The one dashing at full speed with cat-like ears and a tail to match is Kira and the angel soaring above, yet struggling to keep up the pace is Alena.
They had just received the news that a new family of monsters with a child of their age is moving into the neighborhood today.
And, upon receiving that news, they both decided to go and greet them in person.Alena: "Kiraaaa! You're running too fast!"
Kira: "Just try to keep up, Alena. We might miss them if we slow down." Playfully bantering as they continue on their way.Kira: "There!" She yells out, finger pointing towards the opened truck full stacked boxes and furniture.
Alena: "Haah! Thank goodness." She says as she grounds herself.Once they come to a stop after approaching the scene, a girl appears with dark raven hair that's neatly tied back and eyes that a pale icy blue.
Charlotte: "Ello, I'm Charlotte. Do the two of you live around here?"
Kira: "Yeah, we live just a few down that way." She says while pointing to the direction of where they came from.
Kira: "And she's Alena." Turning to her smaller pink colored winged friend.
Alena: "Hello. Nice to meet you." She adds with a smile and round eyes as blue as the sky.
Charlotte: "A pleasure to meet you, as well. So, what brings you both here?"
Alena: "We came to welcome you and hopefully become friends."At that, a stunned look comes over Charlotte's face.
Charlotte: "You want to be friends with me?"
Kira: "Of course we do. There aren't many families of monsters who live around here and less who have kids around our age. So, when we heard about you, we had to see it for ourselves."
Charlotte's expression then turns to worry.
Charlotte: "... Are you sure? Even if...I'm a vampire?"
Kira: "I don't see anything wrong with that."
Alena: "Me neither."She gently smiles to them.
Charlotte: "In that case, I accept."
Alena gasps with the biggest smile possible.
Alena: "Kira, we have a new friend!" Grabbing onto Kira and shaking her all around.
Kira: "I know, I know. You can stop shaking me now."
Charlotte, watching the whole thing, just laughs in amusement.Charlotte: "Well, I'd better go check in with mother and father. But, thank you both for coming." Giving them a soft smile.
Kira: "We'll see you later, then. Right, Alena?"
Alena: "Mmhm!"They wave goodbye to each other and part ways.
But, this is just the beginning of a bound that is fated to last.
Through good times and bad, hardships and success.
These three will face all of them.
Together.
