The days following their conversation were filled with an uneasy tension as Destiny and Ryan navigated the challenges of midterms and extracurricular activities. Destiny tried to push her insecurities to the back of her mind, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

One afternoon, Destiny found herself in the campus library, trying to focus on her studies but unable to ignore the growing anxiety about Ryan and Sarah. She spotted Sarah at a nearby table, absorbed in a stack of papers, and felt a pang of apprehension.

Summoning her courage, Destiny walked over to Sarah's table. "Hi, Sarah. Do you have a minute?"

Sarah looked up, surprised. "Oh, hey Destiny. Sure, what's up?"

Destiny took a seat across from her, her nerves evident. "I wanted to talk to you about something that's been on my mind. It's about you and Ryan."

Sarah raised an eyebrow, her expression guarded. "Ryan? What about him?"

Destiny took a deep breath, her voice steady. "I know that you've been working closely with Ryan on the journalism project, and I just wanted to understand where you're coming from. Ryan and I are in a relationship, and I want to make sure there's no misunderstanding."

Sarah's face softened slightly, though she remained cautious. "I see. I didn't realize there was any tension. Ryan and I are just friends, working on a project together. There's nothing more to it."

Destiny met Sarah's gaze, searching for any sign of dishonesty. "I trust Ryan, but it's been hard to ignore the way you've been acting around him. I just needed to hear it from you directly."

Sarah sighed, setting down her pen. "I didn't mean to cause any problems between you two. Ryan and I have been friends for a while, but it's always been platonic. I'm sorry if my behavior seemed otherwise."

Destiny nodded, her anxiety easing slightly. "Thank you for being honest with me. I just needed to clear the air."

Sarah offered a small smile. "I appreciate you coming to talk to me. If you ever have any concerns, don't hesitate to reach out. I value my friendship with Ryan, and I want to be respectful of your relationship."

As Destiny stood up to leave, she felt a sense of relief. The conversation had been difficult, but it had cleared up her concerns.

"Thanks, Sarah," Destiny said. "I hope we can move forward from this."

"Of course," Sarah replied. "Take care, Destiny."

When Destiny returned to her dorm room, she found Ryan waiting for her. He looked up from his laptop, his expression a mix of curiosity and concern.

"How did it go?" Ryan asked.

Destiny took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "I talked to Sarah. She assured me that there's nothing going on between you two. I just needed to hear it from her."

Ryan nodded, his relief evident. "I'm glad you talked to her. I know it's been a tough time for us, but I'm committed to being open and honest with you."

Destiny sat down beside him, feeling the weight of her worries lift. "I'm committed to that too. I know we have to work through our issues together."

Ryan took her hand, his eyes filled with sincerity. "We will. We've faced so much already, and we're stronger for it."

They sat in comfortable silence, finding solace in each other's presence. The conversation with Sarah had been a step toward healing, and they both knew that their journey together was far from over.
