A week?! I feel like I'm having a panic attack in my room as I think about this. How on earth am I going to get these items to Alastor in just one week without looking too suspicious to the V's? I pace the floor of my room as my tail twitches, holding my hair like a stressed-out psycho.

What happens if I don't get these items in a week? Alastor won't kill me; he's already said so. How can he make my existence even worse? Do I really want to know?

I take a deep breath. I need to calm down. I stop pacing and take another deep breath. "Get your shit together, (y/n)." I tell myself as I stand up straight and try to think more clearly. I have to plan things out. I have to think this through and succeed.

I grab a piece of paper and a pen from my desk, starting to think through some ideas of how I'm going to survive. I can do it.

I stayed up a bit later than I wanted, trying to figure out the details of the plan. But I do think it was time well spent, I think this will work.

I explained to Charlie that I will be out of the hotel quite a bit, trying to spread the word of the hotel and gather feedback on how demons feel about the redemption project. She was completely on board with the idea, which means she won't question why I'm gone for long periods of time.

I figure I'll start with the item I worry I'll have the hardest time getting. This way gathering the rest of the items will progressively feel easier.

Getting a copy of the contract between Valentino and the King of Lust will be difficult. I have to get the contract out of Valentino's area of the tower, bring it to the photocopier in Vox's office, put the original back, and carry the copy out undetected.

I get to the office in my bunny disguise in the early morning hours. Valentino works late night hours, so he's not up very early. This can prove to be useful. I walk around the film studio, looking around to see if anyone is in the room. The only demons I see are the early morning cleaning crew, who I usually don't interact with. They look up at me for a few seconds as I enter the room, but quickly lose interest as I attend to the audio equipment.

I act like I'm fixing up the boom and other nearby audio equipment until the cleaning crew moves to one of the dressing rooms. I take a look at the room that has Valentino's name on the door. I can feel my heartbeat in my ears. I may be a little nervous.

As I jiggle the handle it becomes obvious the door is locked. Of course it would be. I roll my eyes, annoyed. Now I have to spend more time picking at the door. I grab the bobby pin from my hair and start working on the lock, listening closely as the gears turn. Once I hear the click I'm looking for, I open the door to Valentino's dressing room.

I close the door behind me, turn on the light, and start looking through the mess that is his dressing room. I need to move quickly. So many unorganized papers. I think Vox would be disappointed. Some of this paperwork is actually interesting. If only one of these documents was Angel Dust's contract. I think that would be more useful to Alastor.

I shake my head. What am I thinking? Why would I want to help him more than I am? Focus.

I finally find the contract I'm looking for. I grab an empty folder from the floor next to Valentino's desk and put the document inside. I leave the room and keep the door unlocked for now, knowing I have to put the document back.

Walking around the tower with an unmarked folder is not suspicious, especially since I work with every overlord in this tower. I've done this before. No one second guesses me.

I take the elevator and make it up to Vox's floor. I look at the clock. It's 10:13am. Vox doesn't have another meeting until 10:30am, so I should have plenty of time before he comes back to his office.

I open the door and see that Vox is not there. Good. This makes things much easier. I start adjusting the settings to the copier for what I need and put the document on the glass to make a copy.

"Come on, come on." I mutter, feeling like every second is taking decades as I wait.

"(fake y/n)?" I hear Vox's voice behind me. Oh, fuck!

I turn around, doing my best not to act like the panicked mess I feel like right now. "You're back early. You know your next meeting isn't until 10:30." I remind him with a smile. He looks confused. He's probably wondering what I'm doing. He's pretty vigilant.

"I forgot my mug." Vox mentions calmly as he picks up his mug from his desk, still watching me. "What are you working on?" He asks.

"Trust me, nothing you need to spend your time on." I laugh as I grab the copy off the printer, pull the original off the glass and put them both in the folder. "Just some busy work for deliveries." I lie.

"I can sign them now if you want." Vox mentions as he grabs a pen off of his desk and starts walking over to me. No no no no!

"Oh, these don't require a signature." I lie more, trying to get him to stop fixating on the documents. I need him to focus on something else! Ugh, I don't want to do this. But this is all I can think to do that will bide me more time.

As Vox gets closer, I pull him by his tie so that he's uncomfortably closer to me. I've learned over time that he likes this gesture. It throws him off, but he doesn't protest.

"You know, I've been thinking more about your offer." I start off, doing my best to act like someone who would truly want this opportunity with Vox. Batting my eyes in a way so that Vox understands what exactly I'm thinking of. "You free tomorrow?" I ask him.

The lustful excitement in Vox's eyes truthfully makes me uncomfortable, but I can't break character. He chuckles and lifts my chin with his hand. I rest my head further into his touch. I know it's what he wants.

"I think my secretary can clear a spot in my schedule and make a reservation somewhere she prefers." Vox says in a low tone. He's definitely on board with the idea. Maybe a little too on board for my comfort. If I didn't already know what a conniving and awful overlord Vox was, I'd almost feel bad for taking advantage of him like this, but I know better.

Great, this ruins my plans for how I was originally going to get the drone from Vox. Now I have to come up with a new plan tomorrow. At least I have the contract. One item done!

"I'll wear something nice." I reply, confirming that I am indeed going on a date tomorrow with Vox.
