Kyle changed his clothes into a band tee and some baggy pants. Considering it was going to be at Clyde's house, there was no point in getting formal. He glanced at himself in the mirror and played with his red curls. His hands brushed against his green hat next to him. He really hated his hair but his hat would probably fall off at the party anyways. Hopefully Cartman wouldn't make an appearance. He ran his fingers through the mess of curls, trying to get rid of some of the knots, before he stood up to leave.
Driving to Clyde's house, all Kyle could think about was Stan. He was always on his mind and, for some reason, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop loving him. Even after every single breakup, every single drunken sob, every single alcohol tainted 'I love you'. Again, Kyle felt tears threaten to spill, but he held it in, breathing thickly.
You could tell it was Clyde's house because cars lined the streets, and flashing lights lit the windows. Kyle parked his car next to the sidewalk and slowly got out of it, brushing through his hair once again. He watched Craig and Tweek get out of a car a couple yards away and smiled waving at them. Craig looked back and gave a half wave before turning back to his blonde boyfriend.
Only a few people knew of Kyle's crush on Stan. Kyle had told Tweek and Craig after Kenny had found out only a week earlier. They promised not to tell anyone, but his crush got out to Bebe as well when she overheard him ranting to Kenny about him in science. It ended up turning out pretty well as Bebe hyped him up, her energetic personality always lifting Kyle's mood. It also seemed like she could relate personally.
As Kyle entered the house, he already felt the energy hit him. The music was loud, and pounded in his chest. He saw people dancing everywhere. Red and Heidi stuck together, smiling and laughing as they moved to the rhythm of the song. He watched Clyde sling his arm around Tolkien, who had noticed Kyle enter and smiled sweetly. The tall boy flushed a little bit and smiled back walking up to him.
"Is Clyde already drunk?" Kyle snickered and Tolkien nodded, exhaustedly.
"Yeah, I've had to watch his ass the whole night to make sure he won't do anything he'll regret." He sighed and Kyle laughed again, watching Clyde who was rambling about something neither of them could understand. Clyde then got off of Tolkien's shoulder and walked to the kitchen where he began flirting with Bebe, who looked unimpressed. Tolkien glanced at Kyle and smiled again.
"Your hair's really nice Kyle, you should wear your hat less often." Kyle could feel his face warm up at the compliment. Tolkien was the coolest person Kyle knew, so of course something like that would make him blush.
"T-thanks dude!" Tolkien gave him a thumbs up before he left, following after Clyde. Bebe caught Kyle's eye and smiled softly. Kyle noticed Wendy wasn't with her and wondered if she had showed up at all.
His eyes roamed around the area looking for her, and spotted her on her phone, sitting on the couch. He frowned, he couldn't say he liked her of course, but still, he wished in another world they could have been friends. Suddenly, Kyle felt a tap on his shoulder and he whipped around.
