Chapter 2

As she entered the saw paintings on the walls, with long scratch marks along them. Most of the furniture was on its side or split in two with scratches on the top/side/bottom. Suddenely Lucy heard a scream but it wasn't from any human. After a minute or twoshe heard it again and it sounded worse than a cat being strangled. When Lucy heard the noise for the third time she decidedto investigate. All three times she heard the shriek it was coming from the basement. In her pocket, Lucy had a small torch she had been using when she was on her walk so she held her torch tight (so tight you could see her vains) and went down the stairs to the basement. Slowly and quietly Lucy went down the stairs into the basement to see what the cause of the shrieking was. When Lucy shone the torch at the creature that was screaming Lucy nearly fainted. In front of her was a goblin, green all over with blood down its face. In addition it was wearing old rags and torn shoes with the soles worn out. At that moment Lucy ran back upstairs and slammed the basement door. Lucy held the door shut and listened for the goblin. Just as Lucy was about to walk away from the door, the goblin pushed against  the door. With all of Lucy's power she leaned against the door and the goblin fell back...
