"Mir, you gotta go, it's almost one." I say after clicking my phone screen to check the time.
"Wow... I'm bothering you?" he jokes.
"I never said that, you just have to go."
He chuckles, nodding, "I do gotta go for real though, my ma mad tripping."
He sighs and stands up.
"Okay, good night." I reply.
"I luh you, Ciara."
"I love you, Nahmir."
He gives me a peck on the lips and gets off my bed.
I watch him walk towards the door, before he finally exits.
I sigh and grab my phone, deciding to FaceTime Raielle.
"Hey Cee, what's up?" she answers, her face illuminated by the screen.
"Nothing... I just wanted to talk to you about something."
"You gotta talk to me later cause I'm with Day right now." she says, attitudinally.
Euh, the fuck?
I hate that Day just takes up all her damn time.
Like you're my BEST FRIEND, what the fuck? And it's like I feel jealous in a way.
I can't even talk to you about my feelings because you're just SO busy with your girlfriend.
I feel like that's being selfish, though.
"Oh, okay, well good night you two," I say, forcing a smile.
"Good night," they say in unison.
I hang up and scroll through Instagram, losing myself in reels before finally drifting off to sleep.
