I wake up and see Ciara sleeping.

She looks so calm, her face relaxed and quiet.

Her hair is spread out over the pillow, catching the soft light from the morning sun.

I notice how her eyelashes move slightly and how her chest moves up and down as she breathes.

My phone starts ringing and I look at the caller ID.

It's Mom.

I hit the decline button quickly, as it would wake Ciara up if it continues ringing.

I then notice that she texts me.
