Chapter 7: The Goblet of Fear

The Great Hall buzzed with anticipation as students from Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons gathered around the Goblet of Fire. Farrah sat at the Ravenclaw table, her fingers nervously tapping against the piece of parchment and quill in front of her. Draco leaned casually against the nearby Slytherin table, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he teased her.

"To be the first in Ravenclaw to enter the Triwizard Tournament would be quite the achievement," Farrah mused aloud, her eyes fixed on the Goblet.

Draco smirked, his voice dripping with playful sarcasm. "Oh, I can just imagine the headlines now: 'Ravenclaw's first-ever Triwizard Champion,'" he teased, earning a playful glare from Farrah.

Ignoring his comment, Farrah leaned closer to Draco, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Maybe the Prince of Slytherin should consider putting his name in too," she suggested, her tone teasing.

Draco raised an eyebrow, feigning offense. "Oh, please. I'm already far too busy charming everyone with my good looks and impeccable Quidditch skills," he replied with mock seriousness, causing Farrah to chuckle softly.

As they bantered back and forth, the tension in the Great Hall grew palpable. The Goblet of Fire, ancient and powerful, awaited the names of those who would dare to compete in the Triwizard Tournament. It was a moment of opportunity and risk, and Farrah felt a surge of determination as she dipped her quill into the inkpot.

With a steady hand, she wrote her name on the parchment, folded it carefully, and walked confidently towards the Goblet. Draco watched her go, a mix of pride and apprehension flickering in his eyes.

Farrah hesitated for a moment before dropping her parchment into the flames. The fire roared briefly before calming, and then a piece of parchment shot out, landing gracefully in Dumbledore's waiting hand.

The Headmaster unfolded the parchment and read aloud, "Farrah Chutney, Ravenclaw."

A wave of applause and murmurs rippled through the hall as students from all houses reacted to the selection of Hogwarts' first champion. Farrah felt a rush of excitement and nerves, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Draco approached her, a smile tugging at his lips. "Looks like you've done it," he said softly, his eyes sparkling with admiration.

Farrah grinned back at him, her cheeks flushed with excitement. "I guess I have," she replied, feeling a surge of pride in her accomplishment.

As they walked back to the Ravenclaw table together, Farrah couldn't shake the feeling that her decision to enter the Triwizard Tournament was the start of an extraordinary journey—one that would test her courage, wit, and the bonds of friendship and love that she held dear.

Chapter 7: The Goblet of Fear

Farrah returned to the Ravenclaw table amidst the applause and congratulations from her housemates. Despite the initial excitement of being chosen as Hogwarts' champion, a wave of apprehension washed over her. The reality of what lay ahead began to sink in—the Triwizard Tournament was not just a prestigious event but also one fraught with danger and unknown challenges.

As she sat down, Farrah couldn't help but feel a knot of unease forming in her stomach. The Goblet of Fire, once a symbol of opportunity, now seemed more like a foreboding omen. She glanced across the Great Hall at Draco, who was watching her with a mixture of pride and concern.

Draco sensed her unease and leaned towards her, his voice low and reassuring. "Hey, you've got this, Farrah," he said softly, his hand finding hers under the table. "It's going to be tough, but you're smart, brave, and talented. You'll figure it out."
