Two months had passed since the night Wei Ying and Lan Zhan had spent together. In that time, their relationship had grown stronger, filled with tender moments and shared adventures. They had confessed their love, a promise of a future together, and continued to build their bond with each passing day.

Tonight, the Jiang family was hosting a grand celebration for Jiang Yanli's engagement to Jin Zixuan, the son of the prominent Lanling Jin family. The Jiang residence was adorned with elegant decorations, and the air buzzed with excitement and laughter. Wei Ying, ever the supportive brother, was busy ensuring that everything went smoothly.

Lan Zhan arrived at the party, his eyes immediately seeking out Wei Ying. He found him mingling with guests, his smile as bright as ever, though there was a hint of fatigue in his eyes. Lan Zhan's heart ached with concern, but he knew Wei Ying would brush off any attempts to get him to rest.

Jiang Yanli, radiant in her engagement attire, approached Lan Zhan with a warm smile.

"Lan Zhan, I'm so glad you could make it."

Lan Zhan returned the smile.

"Thank you for inviting me. Congratulations on your engagement."

As the night progressed, Wei Ying found himself feeling increasingly unwell. His stomach churned, and a wave of dizziness washed over him. He excused himself from a conversation, trying to steady his breathing as he made his way to the garden. The cool night air offered little relief as he doubled over, vomiting into the bushes.

Lan Zhan, who had been keeping a discreet eye on Wei Ying all evening, saw him stumble into the garden. Alarmed, he followed, arriving just in time to see Wei Ying collapse. Rushing to his side, Lan Zhan checked his pulse and called for help, his voice tight with worry.

"Wei Ying, stay with me," Lan Zhan urged, cradling Wei Ying's limp form in his arms.

Guests quickly gathered, their murmurs of concern filling the air. Jiang Cheng pushed through the crowd, his face pale with fear.

"What happened?"

Lan Zhan, his expression grim, responded.

"We need to get him to a doctor immediately."

With Jiang Cheng's help, they carefully lifted Wei Ying and rushed him to the nearest hospital. The drive felt interminable, every second stretching into an eternity as Lan Zhan held Wei Ying's hand, willing him to wake up.

In the hospital, Wei Ying was whisked away for examination, leaving Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng in tense silence. After what felt like hours, a doctor finally emerged, her expression serious.

"Mr. Lan, Mr. Jiang," she began, "Wei Ying is stable, but there are some important things we need to discuss."

Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng exchanged a worried glance before following the doctor into a private room. She gestured for them to sit, then continued.

"During our examination, we discovered that Wei Ying is a special male, meaning he has both male and female reproductive organs. This is a rare condition known as persistent Müllerian duct syndrome."

"Furthermore," the doctor continued, "Wei Ying is pregnant. Based on our estimates, he is approximately two months along."

The room fell into stunned silence. Lan Zhan's heart pounded as he processed the news. Two months... that meant the child was his.

"He didn't know about his condition," the doctor added gently.

"It's understandable that this is a lot to take in."
