Wei Ying returned home from the hospital with a sense of wariness he hadn't felt before. The familiar surroundings of the Jiang residence provided a semblance of comfort, yet everything felt different. His body, once taken for granted, was now a mystery he needed to navigate with caution.

Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli, his adopted siblings, were waiting for him. Jiang Cheng paced the living room, his brow furrowed in worry, while Jiang Yanli prepared tea, her hands moving with practiced ease but a noticeable tension in her movements. When Wei Ying entered, Jiang Yanli immediately rushed to his side, her gentle eyes filled with concern.

"Wei Ying, how are you feeling?" she asked softly, guiding him to the sofa.

"I'm okay, Jiejie," Wei Ying replied, though the uncertainty in his voice was evident.

"Just... adjusting."

Jiang Cheng stopped pacing and turned to face him, his expression a mix of anger and worry.

"What were you thinking, collapsing like that? You scared us to death!"

Wei Ying offered a weak smile, knowing his brother's harsh words were rooted in fear.

"Believe me, Cheng, it wasn't part of my plan."

As they sat down together, Wei Ying recounted the events of the past few days. He explained the rare condition he had, the existence of a womb he never knew about. Jiang Yanli listened intently, her hands occasionally reaching out to comfort him, while Jiang Cheng's expression shifted from disbelief to silent acceptance.

"You've always been different, Wei Ying," Jiang Cheng finally said, his voice softer now.

"But this... it's a lot to take in."

"I know," Wei Ying admitted, leaning back against the sofa.

"I need to be more careful with my body from now on. The doctors gave me a lot of information, and I have to go for regular check-ups."

Jiang Yanli nodded, her nurturing instincts kicking in.

"We'll help you with whatever you need, Wei Ying. You're not alone in this."

Wei Ying's heart swelled with gratitude. Despite the shock and confusion, his family stood by him, just as they always had. He thought back to the day he had become a part of the Jiang family, after his biological parents died in a tragic car accident when he was only five years old. Jiang Fengmian, his father's best friend, had taken him in, providing a new home and a new family.

---

Jiang Fengmian's kindness had always been a beacon of light in Wei Ying's life. He remembered the day he first arrived at the Jiang residence, a scared and lonely child clutching a small suitcase. Jiang Yanli had greeted him with a warm smile, immediately taking him under her wing, while Jiang Cheng, initially wary, had eventually become the fiercely protective brother he never knew he needed.

Growing up with the Jiang family had shaped Wei Ying into the person he was today. He had learned resilience and strength, traits he would now need more than ever as he navigated this unexpected turn in his life.

As the evening wore on, the siblings sat together, discussing the future and how they would adjust to this new reality. Jiang Yanli, ever the planner, made a list of things they needed to do: finding a specialist, scheduling appointments, and researching more about Wei Ying's condition.

"We'll get through this," Jiang Yanli said firmly, her hand resting on Wei Ying's.

"Together."

Wei Ying looked around at his family, feeling a deep sense of love and belonging. No matter how daunting the path ahead seemed, he knew he wouldn't have to face it alone.

"Thank you," he said, his voice choked with emotion.

"For everything."

Jiang Cheng grumbled something under his breath, but his eyes were soft.

"Just don't scare us like that again, okay?"

Wei Ying chuckled, the sound a bit shaky but genuine.

"I'll do my best."

As they continued to talk late into the night, Wei Ying felt a renewed sense of hope. His life had taken an unexpected turn, but with his family by his side, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
