Chapter 15

"He is okay" Curtis said with a jealous tone. 

Cecilia smiled looking at him and kissed his cheek. "Yes, he is good."

"Let's return now." Curtis said trying to hide his happiness. 

"I forget to tell him where we live. Let's wait here." Cecilia said as she held his hand. 

"He will know where we live." Curtis said as he looked at Cecilia. Looking at her every reaction. 

"Let's wait while talking." Cecilia said as she looked at him as gently squeezes his hands. She felt a bit selfish, wanting him to accept Winston. 

"Let's sit then." Curtis said in a bit of forced smile looking at her. He gently led her to the stone. He sat first, then let her sit on his lap.

"Curtis, do you like children?" Cecilia said as she looked at the scenery. Feeling less stressed.

"I like them." Curtis said with a smile as he looked at her. 'I like the children, which will be the evidence of union and love of us. I will like your children.' Curtis thought. 

"Then let's have a lot of children" Cecilia said with a smile. Cecilia actually felt scared. Having children was something she never imagined. She felt she couldn't be a good mother. 

"Yes" Curtis said, hiding the fact that their children will be sent away sometime after they hatch, not knowing she knew.

"Lia don't tell him yo aren't from here. Not atleast until you mate with him" Curtis said seriously fearing of the consequence if it is revealed.

"Yes, I know." Cecilia said as she squeezed his hand in comfort.

They sat in comfortable silence as they enjoyed each other present. 

"He is here." Curtis said as he saw Winston returning. 

"Let's go then. " Cecilia stood up. Curtis carried their basket.

"Sorry for making you wait." Winston said with a small smile. He was happy that they waited, he thought they had left.

"It is fine. Let's go" Cecilia said with a smile.

"You made us wait long." Curtis said though he felt the time went too fast. Cecilia gently squeezed his hand with a smile.

"Sorry" Winston said a bit shyly.

"No, you didn't take long. Let's go." Cecilia said as they walked. Cecilia walked between Curtis and Winston.

They reached the hut. "This is our temporary home." Cecilia said as she opened the door and entered.

"You don't want to stay in the city?" Winston asked a bit suprised but relieved too as the tension between the ape king and him was increasing.

"Yes I prefer more of solitude and near ocean." Cecilia said as she sat down on the hay which pricked her legs which wasn't covered making her uncomfortable.

"We will head out soon." Curtis said as he took a fur and laid it down on hay making Cecilia sit there as he noticed she was uncomfortable.

"Maybe after winter." Cecilia said feeling more comfortable.

They sat in silence for a while.

 "I will go for hunt." Winston said seriously. The first hunt when a male is accepted is important as if show their ability.

 "Be safe, we will be waiting for you." Cecilia said understanding the culture. 

Winston nods ans heads out as he still need to earn more of Curtis's trust. Trust to leave Cecilia with him alone.

"He know what to do." Curtis said as he looked at Winston. 

"I knew you could approve him." Cecilia said as she lay on her 'bed' sideways.

Curtis doesn't deny nor accept. He lits up fire and throws some wheat near the yellow birds as they start to eat.

Life has been squeezing lemon in my eyes this year. I had a my first bf who was toxic then broke up. Have an ongoing non serious lawsuit going on. Did bad in my exam and waiting for result with fear. 

 I honesty think I am pouring my expectation on relatonship in this story. Never lose you self worth over anyone. Life is improving now.
