Chapter 16

Winston returned after the sunset. He bought a huge brown bear.

 Cecilia looked at it surprised the bear looked scary, it was three times bigger than her.

 "You are so strong Winston." Cecilia said as she looked at Winston for any wound, she was relieved when she none.

Winston felt proud, happy and a bit of shyness mixed in it. He was thankful his hair covered his ears as he felt his ears burning, which he was sure they were red. He had a small smile.

"Let's deal with it." Curtis said as he gestured him to go out together. Winston nods.

They made a small fire outside as they started to deal with the bear. 

Cecilia stayed inside as she wanted them to talk and bond a bit. She started to weave more like braided the hay to make a stool. She could see them whispering to each other.

Winston and Curtis--

"I accept you" Curtis said as he helped to skinned the bear.

Winston was a bit surprised then nodded. 

"Don't be too happy." Curtis said as he glanced at him.

Then silence as they worked.

"She likes it when you do it a bit rough... She is a bit more fragile mentally and physical so be careful with her. " Curtis said as he separated the meat from the bone and cut it in small pieces for Cecilia.

"Why are you telling me this?" Winston asked curious. There are competitions between males of same female due to jealous and envy. 

"She likes you and you being accepted is not far, and I will always be first in her heart. I know it." Curtis said with confidence. What he said was true. Cecilia was very dependent on him and cared for him. He was like the main support for her in the beast world.

Winston nodded as he thought about how they interacted. 

"I will tell you all the things you need to know. Things she dislike or likes. But today will be mine." Curtis said seriously.

"Okay, Don't worry I will guard." Winston said as he nodded.

Winston and Curtis shared a lot of information. They returned inside with dealt meat.

"You are finally here. I was getting bored." Cecilia said she looked at them with a smile. 

"Sorry to make you wait" Curtis said as he put down the meat on the clean stone. 

"No need for sorry." Cecilia said as she leaned on him. 

Winston started to cook the meat.

 "It looks delicious." Cecilia said as she looked at the meat. 

"It is okay" Winston said as he gave a smile. He put the cooked meat in a leaf with some fruits, as he spread some salt on it.

Cecilia smiled as she saw the way he readied her food.

 "It is delicious" Cecilia said with a smile as she took a bite. 

"I am glad you like it." Winston said as he saw her eating the food he made. 

"You guys should start eating too." Cecilia said as she saw they hadn't touched their food. 

"Yes, we will eat." Curtis said as that started eating. 

After eating, threw the leaves outside. "You can sleep here." Curtis said to Winston as outer area of the house to which he nodded.

"Here, you can take some hay and fur." Cecilia said as she pointed to the hays and gave him some fur.

"Thank you" Winston said as he started making his 'bed'.

"Good night"Cecilia said as she laid down with Curtis. She used a huge fur as a blanket.
