shoto todoroki sat on his couch reading a new book he bought a couple of weeks ago. he was drinking a warm cup if hot chocolate while the news softly played in the back ground.

the home of the todoroki's was quiet. no one was home except shoto. not that he minded in the first place.

he was used to this. that was until he felt his phone buzzing next to him. he picked it up and saw it was someone he hadn't contacted in a while.

shoto raised the phone to his ear and his eyes widened. he could hear soft sobs from the other side. "rei? are you okay? where are you?" he said urgently. he began to worry about his friend.

though they haven't always talked, that never changed how much he cared about his friends.

the sobbing soon ceased before a soft and tired voice answered, "s-shoto? uhm can i come over for a little while? i'm sorry this is so sudden i just-"

"yes, you can but please tell me whats wrong?" he sounded desperate but he wanted to know.

"uhm, my parents are arguing but i can't tell what about." she told him. he hummed at her words.

his family were going to be gone for a while. "pack some things, you can stay here for a while." the girl smiled at her phone.

"thank you, really! y-you're the best!" she sniffled with a laugh coming right after. shoto smiled to himself hearing the girls joy.

but at the same time he felt a sad for her. she seemed so happy to leave her home for awhile. "i'll send you my address, text me when you're here okay?" he stood up and walked into the kitchen. he held the phone between his ear and shoulder.

he heard a faint 'mhm' from the other side of the phone, he then hung up. he texted the address and put his cup in the sink.

he sat back on the couch waiting for his friend to get there.
