a knock was heard at the door. shoto got up and walked over to it. he opened his door to see rei standing there.

before he could say anything rei threw herself at him and wrapped her arms around his torso.

this took him by surprise at first but then he wrapped his arms around her. he closed the door behind her and put his arm back around her.

he could hear her silent sobs on his shoulder. he didn't say anything, he just let her cry. he continued to rub her back trying to calm her down.

he held her head against him listening to her cry. he had never seen her like this before. he always saw her as someone who would never cry and projected themselves as strong.

but here she was letting it all out.

"rei...please calm down." he said softly continuing to rub her back. over time the girl finally calmed down, being the first to break the hug.

he kept his arms around her as she wiped her face and her cries softened.

"here i'll take your things upstairs, wait for me on the couch." he pointed the direction of the couch while taking her bag. he walked upstairs and out her bag on his chair.

he walked back downstairs to rei not being in sight. 'where did she go?' he walked around the couch to see her sleeping. she was balled up in a fetus position.

it was usually cold in the todoroki house and he guessed that she was probably cold. he kneeled down in front of her sleeping body, as he gently put his arm under her shoulders and the other under her legs.

he picked her up with ease and headed upstairs. after all that crying she must've been exhausted. he didn't know how long she had been crying for before she called.

if anything he was glad she did. he could use this time to get to know her, plus he wouldn't be so alone.

he decides to take care of her instead if leaving her in soggy clothing. of course he couldn't actually undress her fully so he grabbed spare clothes and brought them to her.

he sat the clothes on his desk and dimmed the lights. he walked over to her and shook her awake. "rei...i brought her spare clothes if you want to change.." she stirred awake before sitting up.

her long black hair covered her face and he moved it from her face. "i'll leave while you chang-"

"no!" a blush erupted across both of their faces.

his eyes widened before he covered mouth with his hand. "you...want me to stay?"

the girl nodded before getting up and grabbing the clothes and pushing todoroki to turn around. "j..just face that way okay.."

she quickly changed and folded her clothes and placed them on the desk. "you can turn around now," she said sitting on the bed. todoroki noticed that he clothes were definitely too big for her.

he walked over to her and sat next to her on the bed. "would you like me to braid your hair back so you can sleep?" the girl smiled and nodded before turning her back to face him.

he began braiding and rei hummed a soft tune to herself while he did so. it calmed her nerves down and made her forget of the reason she was there to began with.

after he finished she laid back in bed and quickly went to sleep again. todoroki got up and turned the light off. the light of the moon shined into the room lighting it up.

he noticed her turning and twisting in the bed.

he smiled at the sight of her sleep habits before covering her with the comforter. he folded her jacket and balled up her socks. he placed them on his desk and took one more look at the sleeping girl before a smile grew on his face.

he shook his head and chuckled to himself then left the room.

flipping through all the channels they had todoroki couldn't find a thing to watch. he wasn't in the mood to read and it was too late to really do anything else.

he pulled out his phone and began typing in 'things to do when bored' he scrolled almost mindlessly through the different answers of the internet.

after awhile of scrolling he heard footsteps from behind him. he turned around to see rei walking down the stairs.

he smiled upon seeing her awake. "how did you sleep?" he watched the shorter girl make her way towards him.

"not too bad i guess, your bed is more comfy than mine." she yawned her words out. she sat next to todoroki on the couch. she looked at the tv being off and then back at todoroki.

"what were you doing?" he unlocked his phone and showed her. she laughed at his search. he gave her a confused look and looked at his phone.

he didn't get it. why was this so funny? "what makes this funny?" he asked her with confusion laced into his voice. she shook her head forgetting how dense he could be sometimes.

though the two never really had the chance to get any closer, she only knew small things about him.

todoroki got up to place the remote back on the charger.

she yawned once again and sprawled out on the couch. he could tell she was still tired, "why not go upstairs..?" he asked genuinely wanting to know.

"you just...got up,"

silence.

"rei..?"

she shrugged while her eyes fluttered close. "i can carry you so you don't have to sleep down here," he could hear her soft snores from behind him.

he stared at her sleeping state and how peaceful she looked. staring at her grew this urge to-

'so...soft !'

he blushed at the contact. her hair was so soft. he couldn't help but play with it. dragging it through his fingers, twirling it, and moving it out of her face.

her hair was so long he took note that she must've grown it out over the years.

he continued to play with her hair and he discovered she had a mole on her neck. he smiled down at her while running his hand through his hair.

"you're really pretty rei, i wish we grew closer," todoroki stood up and grabbed a blanket to cover her with it.

he then sat in a chair falling asleep thinking about her.
