Meanwhile in the previous chapter...

Someone was walking near a forest but on top of a cliff. As he turned to walk away, he heard a loud bang in the distance, he slowly turned towards the edge of the cliff to see where the sound came from.

Jaken: -What's wrong, my Lord? -asked the little green ogre looking at Sesshomaru-

Sesshomaru hadn't said anything and soon turned to leave, in the direction of Kaede's village. "Rin..." thought Sesshomaru, it seems that this noise made Sesshomaru worried about Rin, or did he have a bad feeling?

In the present chapter:

It was already a bright day, birds were singing, the sun was shining, people were running around, working, shopping. Children playing and running and helping their parents. Miss Kagome had agreed to have a singles day with Miss Sango because I'm the only close friend who's single for now... so they had to keep me single company.

-I thank you for keeping me single company, Misses Kagome and Sango. But you don't need to worry about me. -I said giving the girls an awkward smile-

Kagome: -Nothing, Rin. You are the only close friend of ours who is single.

Sango: -But I must say, you need a husband, Rin.

-You're right, Miss Sango. But none of the men in this village interest me. Sometimes, they keep coming over to give me flowers and asking me out on a date or asking me to be their girlfriend... but I always come up with an excuse why I can't spend time with them. -I explained looking at the sky-

Sango: -Is this excuse you're giving because you have someone in mind? -Miss Sango asked, looking at me. I stopped walking to think about giving an answer-

-if I have... someone in mind? -I was in doubt-

I started to remember when I met, cared for and accompanied Lord Sesshomaru when I was 8 years old, and when he came to visit me for three years (from 8 to 11 years old) but as Lord Sesshomaru came back after 7 years, he was able to do company for me while I could. I blushed remembering all this, my face was red.

-wee- eeell- well, I- II- I- I... -I was stuttering, I didn't know what to say-

Kagome: -I think I know who it is. -said Miss Agome in a brilliant way- -tell me, Rin. Have you been talking to Sesshomaru lately? I had a feeling he was worried about you that day. -Miss Kagome said looking at me while holding my shoulders-

Sango: -that day? What do you mean Kagome? -Miss Sango asked, looking at us curiously-

Kagome: -Ah, yes. Three days ago, Rin was injured by the Octopus Demon in the back. But Sesshomaru had to take her to my house so I could take care of her. -Explained Miss Kagome looking at Miss Sango-

Sango: -WHAT? Rin was injured by an Octopus Demon?! And what do you mean, three days ago? -Miss Sango seemed intrigued by this-

Kagome: -Rin was unconscious for three days, without eating or drinking nothing.

Sango: -WHAT?? So, the situation was serious! Are you okay, Rin?? -this whole explanation left Sango shocked. I'm not against it, but Miss Kagome shouldn't have said that. I didn't want to make Miss Sango worry-

-Yes. But thanks to Lord Sesshomaru for taking me to Miss Kagome's house and thanks to Miss Kagome, my wound has healed and isn't bleeding anymore and the wound wasn't deep either.

Sango: -... I knew it was a bad idea to train you to be a Demon Hunter. -Miss Sango said with her head bowed- -if I hadn't trained you, you wouldn't be taking all this risk of getting hurt. I imagine Sesshomaru must be mad at me... it's my fault.
