Elly abruptly ended the call, leaving Ella with more questions than answers. "I'll talk to you another day, Ella," he said, his tone cryptic.

That night, Ella and Sophia prepared for bed, chatting about their day. But Ella's mind kept wandering back to Elly's mysterious call.

As they settled into bed, Sophia yawned. "Night, Ella. Sweet dreams!"

Ella replied, her voice distant. "Night, Sophia."

But Ella's dreams were far from sweet. Her mind raced with thoughts of Elly, their conversation replaying like a loop in her head. She couldn't shake off the feeling that he was hiding something from her.

The next day, as she walked to campus, the sky grew dark and rain poured down. She quickened her pace, but the rain soaked through her clothes. Just as she reached the parking lot, Elly's car pulled up beside her.

"Need a ride, Ella?" he asked, his smile warm.

Ella hesitated, but the rain was relentless. She nodded, and Elly opened the door. As she got in, she tried to buckle her seatbelt, but it jammed. Elly leaned over, his hand brushing against hers as he helped her fix it.

Their faces were inches apart, and Ella's heart raced. She felt a spark of electricity between them, and for a moment, they just looked at each other.

As they looked at each other, the tension between them was palpable. They both felt the chemistry, like a spark waiting to ignite. Elly couldn't resist gazing deeper into Ella's eyes, and just as their faces drew closer, a loud thunderclap boomed outside. Ella startled, her eyes widening in fear.

Elly instinctively drew closer, his arms wrapping around her in a comforting embrace. "Hey, it's okay, I've got you," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear.

As the thunder subsided, Elly's gaze never left Ella's face. He leaned in, his lips brushing against her forehead in a gentle kiss. Ella's heart raced, her skin tingling at the touch.

The world outside melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment. The rain pattered against the car windows, a soothing melody that heightened their senses.

Ella's eyes fluttered closed, her body relaxing into Elly's embrace. She felt safe, protected, and yet, her heart was racing with excitement.

But as suddenly as it began, they came back to their senses. Elly pulled away, a sheepish grin on his face. "Sorry about that, Ella. I got carried away."

Ella's cheeks flushed, but she smiled softly. "It's okay."

Elly started the car, and they drove in comfortable silence until they reached the school parking lot. As they pulled into a spot, Elly turned to her. "Thanks for understanding, Ella. I'll walk you to class."

Ella nodded, her heart still racing from their momentary lapse into romance. What did this mean for their relationship? She couldn't help but wonder.

As they stepped out of the car, Elly offered her an umbrella. "Here, let's share this." He said.....

Ella smiled, and together they walked under the umbrella's protection. The rain drummed against the fabric, creating a cozy intimacy.

As they neared the lecture room, Ella suddenly ducked out from under the umbrella. "I'll see you in class, Elly. Thanks for the ride!"

Elly looked at her quizzically but nodded. "Okay, Ella. Be careful out there."

Ella smiled and hurried into the lecture room, leaving Elly standing alone under the umbrella. She didn't want her classmates to think she was dating her lecturer, but her heart still raced from their moment together...
