VII - Elijah and the Prophet

Jozerijah - the former angel of life borrowing - has just been fired, due to an entrapment made by an unknown entity.
Slightly after those news arrived to Gal and I, Jozerijah told us to find a prophet, so we could rightfully prophesy things ourselves, and possibly even talk to other angels, maybe even to talk with the creator of all humanity himself.
So, we were about to go find a prophet to help us in our mission. That is when Jozerijah stopped us for one last time today, to tell us something, that might change the separate futures of Gal and I, and possibly the future of Gal and I as one.
"Before you go," said Jozerijah: "I would like to tell you, Gal, that you have borrowed a life yourself. Before you ask any questions, I am obligated to tell you whose life you borrowed, and this time, how you did it as well."
"I am listening." said Gal.
"You see, when the almighty being fired me, he asked me if I had a last wish. I told him that I did have one, and it was to borrow one last life, in this career. I have decided to let you borrow it, as a sort of 'thank you' for having Elijah's back. You have borrowed the life of a savior, a hero; you have borrowed the life of a prophet as well. That is right, just like how your Elijah is Elijah the Tishbite, you are now Deborah, the prophet and savior of Israelites from Sisera."

"I... you... what?" Gal asked rhetorically.
"Yes, I understand that it might take some time to get used to it. Ask Elijah, who could not ask someone who borrowed a life already." said Jozerijah: "So, go forth, and make yourself prophets!"
"Thank you, Jozerijah." I said, hoping he would understand it is from the both of us.
Thus, we went to find a prophet to help us on our mission.
This shall be harder than it seems, though, for there are not a lot of prophets today.
We searched all across the nation, to no avail. Although, we did find proof of living, active prophets existing, on a piece of paper taped to a lamp post.
On the paper, it was written: "Having trouble? Looking for someone to guide you forward? Dial this number!" and of course, a phone number.

Fortunately, we had our smartphones in our pockets, so we dialed the number written on the paper.
The other side sounded as if it were robots and robots only, like those movie theater hotlines, which answer automatically, with the music and all.
After a minute and a half or so of waiting, we finally heard a voice. The voice sounded like a monotonic robot designed to mimic a feminine voice.
Anyways, the voice said: "Hello, and welcome to the nation of prophets official hotline. How may we assist you in this lovely afternoon? If you are looking to appoint an online meeting, press the number: 'one'. If you are looking for a prophet to come to your house, press the number 'two'. If you are looking for pizza, then you got the wrong number. He-he-he!"

We pressed on the number one on the phone, and the voice said: "Number: 'one' pressed. Moving to online meeting appointments."
The waiting music started playing again, for at least two minutes, but not more than three.
We heard a humane, male voice, which was good to finally hear such a voice. It said: "Good afternoon, my name is Dover. How may I help you?"
I responded with: "Hey there, yes, my name is Elijah. I was-"
"Hold on, Elijah Deutscher? The new Elijah the Tishbite?" Dover asked: "I am shocked to see you know us. That's enough about my shock, though. Anyways, how may I assist you?"
"Yes, that is right. I am the first life borrower. So, I was looking for an active prophet to help us restore the possibility for good, borrowed lives."
"Are you not a prophet already?"
"Well, yes, but not by definition. The powers you gain from being a prophet, if they exist disappear during a borrowing."
"My mistake, then. We have... " Dover sounded disappointed. He said: "We have a new prophet, whose name is 'Debariah the hopeful'."

I looked at Gal, with a look asking: "Is he the one we want?"
Not only she understood the look, she returned one back, which seemed like a confident "yes" for me.
"Yes, please. Thank you. When can we meet him?" I asked Dover.
Dover went silent for one second, but then he answered: "Surprisingly, he will be available in five minutes or so. Anything else?"
"No, just a thank you." I said, and thus our conversation ended.

Six minutes later, and I get a notification on my smartphone. It said: "Good afternoon! This is your prophet  - Debariah - who is speaking. I heard you have an appointment with me, right?"
"Good afternoon! Yes, I have an appointment reserved for now,  if you may." I responded.
"Alright then," responded Debariah, the hopeful prophet "Look behind!".
Behind us, we saw a man falling down from the sky, landing gracefully on his feet.
"Before you say anything," said the man: "I am Debariah, the hopeful prophet. I heard you were looking for a prophet."
"That is absolutely correct," said Gal: "We are looking for a prophet to make us prophets."
"Interesting. What is it you need to be prophets for?" said Debariah.

"Well," I said: "Do you remember the angel of life borrowing, Jozerijah? He has been framed by an unknown entity. The wrong life has been borrowed by the wrong person."
"Oh," Debariah said: "You are referring to the opposition leader Taut, right?"
Gal and I looked at each other with highly detectable confusion.
"By this look," continued Debariah: "I assume you two have not heard of the life Mr. Taut borrowed."
I did not understand whether this was the truth, or a kind of sick joke. Unfortunately, as it turns out, the latter is incorrect.
"Mr. Taut... Taut borrowed a life?" Gal asked loudly with high confusion.
"I think I said enough," said Debariah: "Anyways, I believe it is time to make you two prophets."

Debriah told Gal and me what we need to do to become prophets.
It included being righteous, not to sin. However, most those sins were mainly not in front of Lord the Almighty. Rather, they were in front of other humans - like ourselves. Those acts which shall make us prophets included being nice and kind people, be selfless, and obviously take credit as least as one possibly can.
After a month of guidance, help, hard training and practice, we met Debariah once again.
"Now," he said: "It is time for the interview."

We took a deep breath, and Gal asked me if I want her to be first. I wanted to tell her that it is okay, that I can be first.
However, that would be a foolish move. So, I told her: "I would say that I shall go before you, but there are two things which do not let me do such. Those things being the popular phrase 'ladies first', but it is not just that. As a matter of fact, it is the part which has less influence on me. Rather, the part with the most influence on me is that I do not want to make us wait. It will make us nervous. So, pick as you please, and tell me afterwards, if I have your approval."
I got her approval, and she decided to go first.
Thus, the last part of becoming a prophet has begun.
