It's midnight. We'll be at Spheonix Isle by the next day. I haven't been able to sleep much these days. Everyone else is asleep.

I walked to my cabin. There, I saw her, sleeping peacefully, without a care in the world.

What if I do something worse and she has no idea about it? I thought to myself.

"Dumb...," I whispered.

I closed the door as quietly as possible. I walked to the bed and sat beside her sleeping body.

Suddenly I noticed something that hadn't caught my eye these past few days. She was wearing my clothes. She had been wearing my shirts and pants. Must be Killer's idea! Does she even know whose clothes these are? But, "Pretty...," the word slipped out as I caressed her cheek and sorted her hair, unbeknownst to me.

She's beautiful...

My mind raced with questions. Why am I being like this? She's dangerous for our crew. She's fierce, just like me.

She moved a little. I quickly snapped out of my thoughts and retracted my hand.

Good, she didn't wake up.

I was about to leave the room to get some air when the moonlight coming from the window created a silver reflection on her chest that caught my eye. A necklace.

I never thought of seeing what she's hiding inside the locket, but this time I wanted to. I carefully separated the locket from her and opened it. The shape was oval. It looked very noble-ish. Is she a noble? I managed to open the locket and saw two pictures: a boy and a girl. I bet the girl is Hana and the boy—is he her lover?

I felt myself heating up at the thought of her having a boyfriend. That could be a possibility. But that had nothing to do with me. Yet, I felt my blood boiling. Without thinking much, I threw away the locket, which might have ended up under the table.

Mood ruined.

Will she search for it?

I don't care. I shouldn't care. I'm keeping her hostage here. I decide what she can and can't have.

With these thoughts running through my mind, I fell flat on the cot. With the sudden movement on the bed, I felt a hand on my chest.

"Can you please go and get my locket, my dear captain?" she whispered in my ear. I looked to my left, her eyes met mine.

I turned her over, pinning her to the bed. She kept staring at me. When did she wake up?

"I apologize, but can you?" she asked in the same position.

"I can what?" I asked back.

"My locket. It's important to me. I need it," she replied, the last part almost unheard.

I knew the moment he came inside the room. I just stayed still and didn't waver so that I wouldn't have to converse with him—not like he would, he hasn't lately—I thought to myself and pretended to be asleep.

He came and sat beside me, and I felt his hand caressing my face and hair. His touch reminded me of that night when he tortured me. Yet, this time, it felt lighter. If it continued, I might've taken a liking to it. I thought to move a little so that he would take his hand away. And it worked.

But within a moment, he took my locket, and I heard it crashing. He fell beside me. What about my locket? I thought.

I was afraid to ask him, but that was my only hope, so I mustered up all my courage and whispered to him, "Can you go and get my locket, my dear captain?" I felt cringe at the special mention.
