Killer stood there, arms crossed and a knowing look in his eyes. He walked closer, his footsteps echoing softly against the wooden deck.

"Didn't expect to find you two here, especially like this," he remarked, his tone teasing yet gentle. Kid and Killer both exchanged looks. Kid straightened up and finally said, "I also didn't expect to find a lost cat on my ship in the middle of the night - admiring the moon." He looked at me while uttering the last two words.

I rolled my eyes and told Killer, "Couldn't sleep."

"Did you just roll your eyes at me?" Kid interrupted.

Without paying any heed I added, "And seems like our captain couldn't either."

Killer's eyes flickered to me, a hint of amusement dancing in them. "I see, CAPTAIN! Well, it's good to see you both... getting along."

I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud. Both looked at me with curiosity. I could sense there was seriousness developing at the moment. Especially coming from Eustass.

"We-well.. you know it's not possible for us to get along, right?"

"Yeah, she's right," Kid said to Killer avoiding me. His face bland.

"Uh, okay. You two continue. I'll head over to bed. Goodnight!" Killer expressed and with that he vanished into thin air.

"I should probably go as well," I said to Kid averting his gaze.

Silence.

I moved and took a step towards the cabin and Kid spoke up. "Wait!" he yelled making me turn back towards his direction, "I'd like to know you as well, kitty, the night's still long." He added.

I gulped. It's true that there was a different side to him that he showed me tonight but I couldn't shake the feeling of spilling everything and then get used till my death. I also had no rights to ignore him at the time. I only shook my head giving him a positive sign.

He smirked. And I wondered why. Kid told me to wait there and left me alone to my thoughts. I saw his shadow disappear.

I wonder how many things he'll want to know. Will I be able to answer them all?

He came back shortly with a huge jar of wine in his hand and two glasses. "Oh, hell!" I retorted under my breath. His smile still lingering on his face.

"Here's a little twist!" he exclaimed as he motioned me towards a table and placed the drink. We sat there facing each other.

"Why so tense?" Kid asked, pouring the wine into the glasses. The deep red liquid glinted in the moonlight, adding a touch of surreal elegance to the moment.

"I .. it's nothing. It's just so unexpected. Why are you treating me this way? You... I never forgot that night," I stated deciding that maybe it was the right time to bring that up. I added, "Yes, you are a pirate. I get that. You have no rules. My words mean nothing. But what did I do to you?"

Kid leaned back in his chair, chuckling. "Oh, you're still hung up on that? That was ages ago. And come on, you are in no position to question me."

"No position to question you? Yeah, you are right, I'm a stowaway anyway. And you can do whatever the hell you want me for that, very much logical," I said rolling my eyes. That warm feeling was slowly fading away and I was getting my thoughts cleared up once again.

"Watch your tongue, kitty" he sounded threatening, he added, "and this is the second time you rolled you eyes at me. Don't ever do it again."

"See? Here I thought you changed."
