"Why did your parents take interest in me all of a sudden?" I asked Enza annoyed they wanted to talk to me. She shrugged her shoulders looking out the window of the car. I could tell she was mesmerized by the tress and the graffiti that lingered on the buildings as we traveled through the ghetto parts of town. That was one thing I was grateful for, we didn't live in the ghetto. We weren't rich kids but we had everything we needed, well at least I did. I was the only child so I really got everything I wanted, but I was always by myself, so I had no choice but to go out and make friends.

I had finally found Enza and despite her "problems" I love her the most out f anybody....I just dont know when ima tell her the news. It's eating me up inside that im keeping something from her, but I honestly just don't know how she will take it. I don't want her to feel like im leaving her, but that's exactly what I'm doing.

"Jaceyyyyy" Enza dragged out grabbing my attention. I looked at her annoyed I hated when she called me that.

"Yes?"

"I wanna go to an arcade, you think you can take me?" Enza bounced around in her seat at the thought of going to an arcade. Her parents never took her anywhere so whenever she went places it was with me. The arcade did sound fun for next weekend and I could probably teach her how to bowl.

"Yea, I'll take you this weekend, okay?" she nodded her head yes unbuckling her seat belt as we had just pulled up to her house. We both got out the car and walked up the few steps to her house. I looked around us and noticed a police car parked down the road by the stop sign. I didn't pay it much attention as Enza grabbed my hand pulling me into the house with her.

"Mom?" Enza called out, we heard voices from the kitchen so we proceeded to walk in there. In the kitchen stood the adults that currently lived in Enza's house and two police officers. I dropped Enzas hand knowing nothing good was about to happen. I felt my heart start beating quicker knowing if I went back to jail my dad would be furious, cutting me off from having contact with Enza.

"Sir this is the young women we told you about, she's been fraternizing with our special needs daughter." Enza's dad spit out. At that moment I couldn't move, I was going back to jail and this time I don't know if my parents can get me out the same night.

"Dad, s-stop that's not t-true, she's my friend, p-p-please, don't d-do t-this." I heard Enza start crying next to me, I can't believe this is my life right now.

"Go pull the car up" One of the officers spoke. I watched the female officer walk out the house to receive the car.

"Mom, don't let him d-do th-this please." Enza begged. Her parents ignored her, I already knew what was going to happen once the officers took me away. They were going to beat the shit outta her, something ive been protecting her from, yea she still had scars but as for fresh bruises, none was on her body.

"Enza, relax im going to be okay. It's going to be okay I'll be out in no time" I whispered in her ear as I pulled her into me. She cried in my chest, gripping the waist band of my sweat shorts. I rubbed behind her ears knowing that would usually calm her down but nothing was working today.

"That's enough, officer please remove her off my daughter." Enzo yelled. The cop looked remorseful, like he no longer believed what he was told in the beginning but he still had a job to do. He walked behind me patting me down before spreading my feet apart slightly. He handcuffed me really tight a little to tight almost as if he did it on purpose. While he did all that Enza would not let go of me, and that really pissed her dad off. He grabbed Enza by the back of her neck pulling her apart from me. That almost sent me into orbit, but the officer had a really firm grip on my forearms. Enza started hyperventilating, out of fear and because someone she didn't trust touched her.

"Do none of you know how to calm her down?" The officer looked at them confused on why nobody was trying to help her. They all shook their heads no before looking at me.

"Help me calm my daughter down, what do I do ?" her mom asked me. I shook my head she's been living with her for 17 years and still don't know what to do in a time like this.

"She doesn't trust y'all, therefore you can't touch her it'll just make it worse. But if you reach behind her ears and rub gently she might calm down." They looked at me as if I was crazy suggesting that they need to touch her. Nobody moved not one person.

"The cars here, let's go." The female officer announced walking back into the house. The male officer started to pull me along with him toward the front door. I struggled against him telling him that Enza needed help and to please let me help her. He didn't respond and just used more force dragging me outside. I was placed in the back of the squad car and I felt hot tears run down my face. I banged my head against the gate that separated me from the officers up front.

"I know what you going through kid, a lot of parents are homophobic, my girlfriend parents were, it gets easier." The female officer spoke to me before reading me my rights.

Let me know what you guys are thinking about the story, if there are any ideas y'all have and want to incorporate into the story let me know. I do go back and proofread the chapters after I post them.

Should Jace spend time in jail or should her parents be able to get her out the next day?
