They were all too busy laughing and cheering to notice Min-ji and her friends strolling up to the table. Too busy laughing and cheering to notice the strawberry milkshake in her hand. Too busy laughing and cheering to notice the devious smile on her face. But they were not too busy laughing and cheering to notice when she stopped and poured it all on top of Akila's head.
The pink gunk splashed into her hair, dripping down her face and onto her clothes. It was like the entire lunchroom got silent, maybe it had. But Akila couldn't tell as some of the liquid slid into her ears, messing up her hearing anyway. Min-ji laughed and had a surprised look on her face. "Oops," The entire table erupted in chaos.
Yoongi was the first one up, his face a mask of anger. Namjoon was the second one up, hurrying immediately to hold him back. Hoseok was the third, the smile that was once on his face gone, his entire body language rigid as Namjoon grabs him with his other arm. Jin was the fourth, rushing to Akila's side with napkins, softly wiping her face so that she could see. Jiah was doing the same, helping her to stand as she stared at Min-ji with an incredulous look. "You fucking bitch!" Akila hears Yoongi yell at Min-ji. She wasn't exactly paying attention. Too in shock to do anything.
"Hey! You're not about to call my girlfriend a bitch, motherfucker!" Someone stands up, Akila doesn't even know his name, but he's presumably Min-ji's new arm candy. He strides over to the table, most likely to yell. But he never got far. Namjoon had an iron grip on Yoongi, but there was only so much that he could do to hold him. Yoongi had broken free before anyone could do anything, taking only a few steps before popping Min-ji's boyfriend a good one in the mouth, enough force to knock his head back.
That was all Akila was able to see before Jiah led her to the bathroom.
