"wake up Madelyn." jayla says as she's shaking me to wake up.

"i'm awake." i yawn.

"javon decided to make breakfast, do you wanna come eat with us?" jayla asks me.

"yah, where's kylee?" i say tiredly.

"downstairs, eating." she replies.

i get up and fix my hair in the mirror. i begin following jayla downstairs.

jaden and javon are sitting at the table with kylee eating what looks like eggs, bacon, and french toast. i walk up to counter and grab a plate.

"do you want something to drink madelyn?" jaden asks me.

"uhm what do you have?" i ask him back.

"there's uhm, apple juice, tea, water, and koolaid i think." he tells me.

"yah can i have some water please?" i ask him.

"yah, of course." he assures me.

moving past me to get to this fridge he sits his hand swiftly on and off of my back. flustered i turn my head quickly towards him at the fridge. he turns back and gives me a smile.

i go to sit down beside kylee.

"but potatoes can be used for anything, like fries, potato salad, the list goes on," javon argues.

"yah i guess your right on that one." kylee agrees.

"why are yall talking about patatoes?" i say confused.

"we're talking about the best vegetable. we've decided that potato's take the cake." javon informs me.

"i agree with that statement. baked potato's, hash browns, tater tots," i count on my fingers.

"here you go." jaden says as he sits a glass of tea down beside my plate and sits down beside me.

"where's the other boys?" jayla asks jaden.

"Danny had soccer and Max had something to do too." jaden tells her.

i began eating.

"when do you have to go home May?" javon asks me.
"oh i don't know. my mom didn't give me a time, just told me to let her know." i inform them all.

"well im staying another night." kylee adds.

"why don't you just stay another night to since we'll be getting home late from that party." jaden invites me.

"yah ill ask my mom. if that's okay with you jayla." i tell her since ill be sleeping in her room.

"oh my friend harmonys supposed to come over. you can sleep on the couch? we can go out there with you if you want to." jayla rushes out of her mouth.

"oh no you don't have to. i can sleep out there by myself that's fine. thank you though jayla." i assure her.

"what party are you talking about?" javon asks.
