before I start this chapter I just wanna say that when deciding what y/n would wear the only thing that came to mind was 2015 wattpad outfit choices. "she threw on her black choker, and out the door she went with her penny board in hand" 💀 i had to laugh, but anyway on w/ it.

y/n was more than excited while getting ready, she never would have imagined going on a date for awhile. music was set on shuffle while waiting for the curling iron to be ready for use.

after finishing her hair, she begun on her makeup.
deciding on light makeup as she didn't want to be over the top. just as she was finishing the finishing touches, koushi messaged.

koushi: hi i forgot to ask for your address.

you reply with your address before setting your phone down.

I was almost done getting ready when i glanced at the time showing on my alarm clock. 4:48pm. It was almost time for koushi to show up.

skimming through the closet i decide on a sandstone coloured long sleeve shirt paired with a light blue jean.

making sure i approved of my appearance in front of my mirror, im taken out of my thoughts as the doorbell rang. My heart almost jumped out the window because, one: our doorbell never is used, two: i was not prepared for koushi to show up unannounced, three: koushi?

frozen in my stance until i hear my mother call me down.

"y/n? there is a handsome young man here calling for you" my mother yells with a slight laugh at the end of her words.

as I'm making my way down the stairs I could hear tadashi making light conversation with koushi. next I get view of my entire family standing near the door. I raise an eyebrow at my family before turning my gaze over to koushi and my heart flutters at the sight.

koushi with his white shirt topped with a tan coloured cardigan, finished with a black pair of jeans stood just at the end of the stairs with a single pink orchid in his hand.

"y/n, why don't you introduce us to your friend?" your father says while raising his brow.

you take a deep breath to settle your racing heart before speaking "this is koushi sugawara, he is my upperclassman and also tadashi's teammate."

"i know you guys liked each other but I didn't know it was to the extent of matching outfits." tadashi lets out a chuckle.

"unplanned" we both manage to say at the same time before joining tadashi as he laughed.

koushi goes to shake both of your parents hands.

"ah upperclassman and you play volleyball as well? how old are you? what position are you?" your father staring hard at koushi eagerly awaiting his response.

koushi lets on a smile before responding "I'm eighteen and i am a setter." He says putting his hands in his pocket.

they look over to you and back to koushi. Finally your mother breaks the silence.

"when can we expect y/n home? curfew is 11pm if I'm not mistaken, surely before then?" your mother offers a smile.

"yes of course." Koushi responds. I walk down the remaining stairs.

"well, 11pm comes fast. we should be on our way now." I wave before going to grab koushi's hand.

koushi follows "it was a pleasure to meet you guys." He bows before he's pulled past the door.

the door closes and the yamaguchi family stands in place for a moment before tadashi speaks.

"I'm beginning to see y/n's type." He stares at the door before glancing at his parents.
