Boomer and Buttercup are WHAT!?!?

Chapter 5

(TW!!small blood warning!!TW)

Once the other four members reach the amusement park and the roller coaster ride, they found both Buttercup and Boomer were injured slightly. Buttercup saw her friends and immediately calls out to them in a sarcastic tone for them being late. Even though they were not.

"Look who finally show up! Can't you guys get here any faster?" She grinned at them. A small blood dripping down from her head. The others concerned about the situation they were in.

"How the heck do you still making jokes while in this heavy situation?!" Brick yells at her with concern. (Me: I mean you also do that  Brick: Yeah yeah you're right *backs away embarrassed*)

"Guys? A little help here!?" Boomer yelled at them.

"Oops! We're on it! Bubble Catcher!" Bubbles then used her bubble wand to try to capture the falling debris. Blossom, Brick, and Butch attack the shadow monster with everything they got.

As the others were fighting, the monster threw a bunch of debris and landed it on Boomer. Buttercup was shocked and try to save him but due to her injuries on her body there is no possible way for her to save them. With all her power left in her, she slowly picks herself up and walked to a pile of debris where Boomer is. She shouts his name and asking if they're all right.

"Boomer! Are okay?! Say something!" She shouted. There was some muffle sound underneath it. It's Boomer

"Buttercup I'm okay! Only my arm is numb. What about you? Are you okay?" He asked her, worried about her too.

"Don't worry about me! I'm gonna get you out of here" She then grabs her hammer to get him out. "Batter Up!" Pile of rubles have crushed into millions of pieces. Boomer saw her in relief but was quickly shocked at her statement.

"Buttercup you're hurt! Please find somewhere safe. Me and the others can finish that monster from here" He said to her. Buttercup shakes her head.

"No way! I'm fine! Just let me- AAHH!!!" She held onto her chest, feeling a sharp pain inside and coughing up blood. Boomer then in a haste, lift her up from the ground. Despite his other arm is numb, he managed to lift her.

"If you don't want to, then I'll do it" He carried her and try to find a place for her to be safe. He found a storage room with medical equipment. He puts her down and straight away aiding her. Bandaging her wounds and wipe some blood from her mouth using a towel. He lays her down and tell her to take some rest. She nods to him. Boomer smile softly at her and head back out to join the others.

When Boomer was gone, Buttercup lays on the bench and staring at the ceiling, her limbs are all injured and she couldn't even join the fight. She was a bit frustrated by it. She was left alone with her thoughts, feeling like a burden instead of a hero. Laying on the bench, she stared blankly at the ceiling, lost in thoughts.

Suddenly, a sound coming from the corner of the storage room caught her attention. She turned her head towards the source of the noise, her heart racing as she strained to hear more. A shadowy figure emerge from the corner of the room. It seemed to be mocking her, its shape shifting and changing with each movement.

As the figure spoke, its voice echoed and sent chills down her spine. "You're trapped," it said, its voice dripping with amusement. "There's a pile of rubble blocking the door. You won't be getting out anytime soon"

"Wait, who are you? Why are you doing this?!" She questioned the figure. Its just chuckle away Then, it spoke to her again.

"No one important, what you know about now is that this is all just getting started. Have fun!" Then, as quickly as it had appeared, the figure faded away into the darkness, leaving Buttercup alone once more in the storage room.

"That fucker... I have to get out of here somehow. That thing could hurt them anytime soon" She thought of an emergency escape plan but had no idea how.

All that's left of the choice is to use her power to break down the door. But she knew very well if she use her power again it could damage her limbs even more. She hesitate at first but in a light, she swung her hammer and break the door. Her arm hurts a lot, but that doesn't let her to back down again. She healed herself up first real quick and then heading out to catch up the others, hoping she can make it in time to fight the monster and tell the team what she had encountered with.
