"HEY, BUNNY, CHECK THIS OUT", Van's voice calls as the girl comes out of the cabin, carrying an empty bucket in her free hand. Bunny sets the tin bucket down and walks up to the redhead, who is sitting at the logging spot. Van is holding a piece of cloth in her hand, that seems like the fabric of running shorts. Bunny cocks an eyebrow as she leans over the girl's shoulder for a better look."What is it?", Bunny asks, setting her other hand on her hip as she looks at the girl curiously. Van gives Laura-Lee and Taissa a knowing smile before turning around in her seat to fully face the strawberry-blonde.
"We made you a new arm sling", Laura-Lee blurts out, not being able to keep the surprise in anymore. Bunny's eyes grow wide as she starts smiling excitedly. Van shoots Laura-Lee a glance, but Taissa only chuckles. "Guys, what the heck! Thank you", Bunny says, her eyes glowing as she jumps a little in her place before throwing her arm around the redhead. She gives Laura-Lee and Taissa a hug also, as she keeps thanking the three.
"You wanna sit down?", Taissa says and points to the tree stump that is meant for cutting wood. Bunny nods and quickly takes a seat. Laura-Lee, Van, and Taissa begin to try and figure out how to get the girl's current badly made bandage off without hurting the still sore shoulder too much.
"Do you need help?", Bunny asks, finding the situation extremely humoring as the three girls have no idea how the sling works. Taissa hushes the girl and puts her hand over her mouth, "Shh... relax...", the taller girl says playfully, causing Bunny to giggle into her hand. Laura-Lee leaves Taissa and Van to figure out the job together and returns to her spot by the campfire, where Lottie and the other girls are sitting.
Bunny's eyes flicker towards the treeline as she sees the two hunters return from their trip. As the other girls spot the two they start whistling. Bunny turns to look at Taissa confusedly, who only shrugs at the girl as she drapes the sling under the girl's arm.
Laura-Lee grins from her spot, "Natalie and Travis sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G", she sings, causing the other girls to giggle even more. Bunny's eyebrows furrow as her eyes flicker between the two hunters, who seem extremely uncomfortable by the welcoming.
"I think they were doing a bit more than kissing", Lottie snickers from the other side of the cooking spot. Mari chuckles from her spot at the cabin's front steps, "Hey, Nat, what exactly are you and Flex hunting for out there, anyway?"
"I hear it's beaver season!", Van says and points at Mari with a log and a huge grin.
"Ah, sit and spin, assholes", Natalie says, flipping all the girls off as they only giggle. Bunny still sits confusedly in her spot, her mouth slightly ajar as she tries to make sense of the situation. Were Travis and Natalie... together?
Natalie would've told Bunny if that was true, right? A sudden wave of jealousy washes over the girl as she looks at the two hunters. She stands up from the log, causing Taissa to look at the girl confusedly since she's still in the middle of tying the sling on. "Is this why we don't have any food?", Bunny asks, cocking her head as she looks at the bleach-blonde.
The yard falls silent, everyone looking at Bunny.
As both Natalie and Travis fail to give the girl an answer she shrugs, as if she's waiting, her gaze coated with a judging expression. "So?", she asks again, tilting her head a little.
"You two are making out in the forest while - what? We all starve to death?", Bunny asks and takes a step forward, leaving Taissa's and Van's side.
Natalie scoffs, "Uh, go fuck yourself?"
"I guess we shouldn't be surprised", Jackie chimes in, her voice calm but dripping with venom as she stands and walks down the porch stairs, "Nat's always down for a good time, right?"
