Prudence was wandering around aimlessly, looking at different signs and writings. Usually, she went to the Smithsonian to look at the animal statues and read about the animals. But, she had already read it all and was growing bored of the blurbs on sharks and elephants, so she started looking around. Which was when she found the one exhibit she had avoided, the room on Steve Rogers.

World War II never particularly interested Prudence, and the fact that her friend had his own exhibit about it made it slightly less interesting. If she ever wanted to know, she could just ask. They were close enough that they shared an apartment. All she had to do was knock on his bedroom door.

Yet, she still finds herself looking at the images and the suits. She reads a few of the blurbs until she sees the theater. Another room dedicated to Steve.

She chuckles to herself and heads for the theater. She had an hour or two until she expected Steve to be back from his mission, considering he hadn't yet called. So, she might as well kill time listening to the history rather than reading it.

But, on her way in, she bumps shoulders with a man on his way out. He mumbles a sorry, and she stops him, having recognized the voice. The man clears his throat and looks up at Prudence. He seemingly let's out a relieved sigh at seeing its Prudence.

"Whats with the outfit?"

"Low profile."

"Okay. See you later, then."

Steve nods, and Prudence walks away, forgetting about her prior plan to go into the theater.

Prudence sits on the couch, clicking on the TV and sifting through channels. After she saw Steve, who was seemingly in a rush, she left the Smithsonian and grabbed some fast food before going home, eating, and stashing away a burger for Steve to heat up whenever he got home.

She hears the doorknob turn and changes her focus from the I Love Lucy rerun to the door, watching Steve walk in.

Prudence smiles, returning to the rerun, "So?"

Steve sits on the couch next to her, "So what?"

"What were you doing at your own exhibit at the Smithsonian?"

"I go there to clear my head sometimes," he folds his leg over the other, holding onto his ankle.

"Mhm. Where did you go after?"

Prudence wiggles her eyebrows, turning to him.

"Prue- I went somewhere."

"Does somewhere have a name? Or did you not ask it? She totally saw your hunk and just dragged you along like Maria Reynolds or something."

"No, she was bedridden, Prue," Prudence's eyes widen, and her jaw drops.

"Steve! That's horrible!"

Suddenly, as if just realizing his mistake, Steve raises his hands, "No. No, no, no, that's not what I meant! I was visiting an old friend from way back then."

"Ah, okay. There's a burger in the fridge for you to heat up."

Steve nods, "In and Out?"

Prudence shakes her head, "McDonald's. It was on the way home."

Steve sighs, standing and walking to the fridge.

"If it's so inconvenient, go get yourself In and Out with your own money."

Steve shakes his head, putting the burger in the microwave, "Thank you."

"Yep," Prudence turns off the TV, "So, how's your bromance?"

"Bromance?"

Prudence nods, resting her head on her hand, which is propped on the back of the couch.

"Yeah. The guy you run with every morning."

Steve nods, beginning to speak just as the microwave beeps. He takes out the burger, bringing it over to the chair next to the couch.

"We run every day. I don't know what to say," he shrugs.

"Okay, well, he obviously knows who you are."

"That's logic," he takes a bite, "So?"

"Like, did he do anything that would make it seem like he's infatuated with the fact you're, well, Steve Rogers? Or was he like, 'Oh, that's cool. I run with Steve Rogers. Anyway, what's your favorite food?'"

Steve shrugs, "The second one, I think."

"So he doesn't care?"

Steve shakes his head, returning to his food. Prudence nods, turning I Love Lucy back on.

When Steve finishes his food, he puts the dishes away, watching the rest of the episode on the couch.

"Okay, I'm going to bed."

"Goodnight."

Prudence stays to watch one more episode of the show. When her and Steve had first moved in together, she was scrolling through channels when Steve made her stop on I Love Lucy. He hadn't made it far enough to watch it, and Prudence roped him in with an old man joke. The fact that he only missed the show by 6 years enticed him to the show.

Because Steve made her stop on that channel, he accidentally caused Prudence to love another show on top of all her other movies and franchises she's obsessed with. It wasn't at the top, but it wasn't at the bottom, either.

When the episode is over, Prudence walks upstairs, doing her nightly routine. She changes into her pajamas, brushes her hair and teeth, washes her face, and settles in her bed.

Her bedroom was directly across the hall from Steve's, so she could hear him doing his own thing in there. He had an old record on, but it was quickly turned off. She lays her head on the pillow, falling asleep quickly.

A/N - ugh their relationship is just MMM. She knows pop culture and he doesn't and she uses it against him ITS CANON, IM THE WRITER ITS CANON!! also he doesn't know what bromance means he just kinda went with it because there would be relentless old man jokes coming from Prue if he told her he wanted to know what it was. All in good fun and if he let on that he didn't like them Prue would never say the word old again in her lifetime, especially around Steve.
