The next morning when Brian walked down the stairs he looked through the mail they had gotten that same morning. Mostly just shit, but at the bottom was some important stuff.
They had gotten Ian's medical and apparently criminal records. They had also gotten a letter with information for all the littles first day in school.
Brian couldn't help but to look through all of this. He started with Ian's criminal record. Taking the hard part first.

"Geez this kid" Brian said out loud. He hadn't heard the others come down. They stared at him. "Whats that paper?" Mike asked Brian. "It's Ian's criminal record. This kids done stuff" he said to the others. They all read through the paper.
"We also got his medical records and some information from his school" Brian continued. They all looked through the rest of the papers.

"Damn" I heard Ian say after we read through the paper. "Good morning buddy" I said. "What the hell! Where do you get that?!" Ian yelled and snatched the paper from Brian's hands. "No cussing!" I said a bit upset with Ian's behaviour.
"Ian, please sit down so we can talk. I don't think you know everything that's happening right now" I said in a calm voice after getting some glances from the others. He looked a bit mad but sat down, in a normal chair. I didn't want to argue with him right now so I just let him.
"So, since you'll be living with us for at least 3 years, it can be more. Well, we're getting custody of you" I started. He looked happy? "Parents usually give the state or school a big part of the custody" I continued and Ian looked worried over to me.
"What? And then? Didn't my parents say anything?" He questioned a bit scared. "Love, your parents gave us full custody. This might be a bit had to hear but just remember, you're safe with us" I said
"Your parents called the state who directed them to the school when they got the news you were a little. So my guess is that you never told them?" I asked. Ian nodded. "To be fair they weren't home so I couldn't" he said.
"Okey, and after that they umm.. Ian remember that we all love you, and you're sisters love you too" I was a bit nervous to continue.
