8 | Hospital

Luke's pov
I got my sleepy lad in the car. Even tho he just had a nap I guess he was still a bit tired. I was kinda glad he was asleep by the time I had put him in his car seat. I replaced his thumb with a pacifier before getting in myself.

The ride to the hospital wasn't that far, only 20 minutes and because I work here I can park on the special side of the parking lot. It was right by the door. Before I got out I sent a text to Brian that we were here. I also sent a cute picture of the sleepy boy in the backseat to our family group chat.

I picked up Ian from the back and started walking inside. "Baby, you need to wake up for me love" I said as I rubbed his back. He shifted and whined a bit. Soon I reached the children's side of the hospital. More specifically the little space part.

They called it the children's hospital. Tho it was only for littles. They have good, well educated doctors who knows littles the best. That way they can help them.

"Dadwy tiwrd" Ian said behind the paci. I had hooked it to a paci clip that I was secured to his shirt. "Oh I know love, you can nap some more when we're done here, alright love?" I said. I felt him nod as he took out the paci. I just looked at him with a smile and took his paci, replaced it in his mouth again and rubbed his back.

He had almost fallen asleep again when Brian came out. "Baby look, it's dada" i said. He looked up and smiled, the paci fell out of his mouth as he hugged Brian. "Hi baby, how was school?" He asked. Ian looked down and didn't answer. "We can talk about it later. Now mister, you have to be brave and come with me" Brian said. Ian looked worriedly back at me. "I'll be there in a second love, daddy needs to change in to work clothes first." I said before leaving them.

Brian's pov
"Come here love, daddy's gonna be here in a few minutes" I said and took Ian's hand. I led him to the room we hade prepared for him. I could tell he was nervous, I picked him up and carried him the rest of the way.

In the room was my colleague Darcy who was gonna help me today. I introduced her to Ian and Ian to her. My little man was intensely sucking on his pacifier, he looked so scared.

"Love, calm down please. You're safe here, no one's gonna hurt you" I said as I tried to calm him. Luke was finally coming in the room, I saw Ian's eyes lit up as he made grabby hands to him. "Aw love, you just miss daddy so much" he said.

I explained a bit what we were gonna do. Like taking Ian's weight and high. Feeling his tummy, taking an ultrasound to make sure everything is in place. Look up if we can give him food supplements to and other extra calories. And lastly the blood test.

The first part was done fast. I don't think Ian was that scared of it. We took it slow and explained everything.

Ian's pov
I sat on daddy's lap when they were done taking my weigh and high. I was a little embarrassed tho cause I was only in my nappy and socks.

"Alright, good job Ian. Now Darcy wanna have a look inside your tummy, so she's gonna use this machine along with a cool gel. It's not gonna hurt one bit. I promise" dada said.

I was a bit unsure and scared. The hospital examination table was covered in paper. Daddy sat the headrest, then dada laid me with my head in daddy's lap. Dada walked around and held my legs lightly.

"Okey Ian, this is the cool machine that can see in your tummy. First I'm gonna put this on your little belly. Might be a bit cold" dr Darcy said. I giggled a bit cause it was ticking. "Aw you're so cute. I'm gonna take this end of machine now and run it all over your tummy" she said. I got scared again and tried to get away.

"Shh love lay still. It's not gonna hurt you" daddy said and held my hands above my head. She was done fairly quick. I saw the inside of my tummy on a little screen she had.
