Brian's pov
Ian had been small for a few days, it was nice seeing him so comfortable and happy. This morning he woke up bigger than the days before, but he seemed to still be a little unbalanced. Only crawling for a few days might be the answer to why he was like this.

We struggled to get him changed and in a diaper, he was refusing everything telling us he was a big boy, holding up all five fingers. But after some struggles and hits, Luke got him all done for a Friday in school.

I tried to pep talk him a little when I made his lunch box. They were going to the adventure park today, it had big playgrounds and animals. I knew they had a dinosaur themed area as well.

He was starting school a little later today so me and Luke got him there. He was being fussy and a little bratty in the car but we let it slip as he was probably tired and a little nervous.

I didn't expect my "big boy" to cry as we said goodbye at school. He just wanted to be with his daddies and cuddle but we told him it could be after school. Soon he was left off at school and we made our way to the hospital.

"Hi Brian, any plans for the weekend?" My colleague asked, I smiled and looked up at her. "I don't know really, maybe just have a chill one" I said but remember that "you never know tho, Ian might have other plans" I said with a light laugh.

We had some conversations back and forth while preparing some shots for the littles. We start next week, it got a little delayed but we fix them.

I was just done with my lunch break when I saw my phone had a ton of notifications. There was a lot from my loves but also the school. "Shit" I mumbled and prepared for the worst.

I ran to the check in table. "Hey I need all information on Ian, a little, age 2-4!" I said in a hurry. "Yeah he's just getting in with the ambulance in a few. Should I put him on you?" She said as she quickly typed at the computer.

We got a room up, I got some helpers. "I'm so sorry folks, it's my little boy. Please just do everything you can" I said and got everything ready.

The information I got is that Ian fell down a high place, broke both arms. My poor boy, I can just tell he's so upset.

As he got rolled in and placed on the hospital bed we began to strip all his clothes off. I quickly put on a new diaper and we got him to the x-ray room.

My baby was bawling his eyes out, in pain and confused about what's happening. We gave him some medicine to keep him calm but it didn't help. It was hard to get some good pictures, he was moving around all the time but after a painful 45 minutes we got the results.

Ian had three fractures in his left arm, one in the upper and two in the lower. His right arm had one fractured in the upper arm and a small fracture in the lower. I was breaking down by this point.

My job was done for now as I saw him getting rolled in to the operating table. What the actual hell happened to my boy.

"Love" I heard a voice behind me say. I had been crying for a while. Luke showed up and gave me a hug. "Shh love, he's gonna be alright" he said and rubbed my back, just like we did when Ian was upset.

I called down a bit. "I was so scared when he came in. He was screaming bloody murder" I said and laid my head in Luke's shoulder. "Yeah, I bet it was scary" he said and held my hand. "His arms looked destroyed. That's gonna take a while to heal" I sighed and looked up.

We waited for almost three hours. We had both gotten off work and waiting for Ian. "Luke and Brian Williams" a nurse came out and said. It was Angel, I worked some shifts with her.

We basically ran to the wake up room to see our baby. There he was. In a hospital gown filled with teddy bears. I puffy diaper and two big casts around his arms.
