19. Breaking up?

Y/n-

I let go of him and we stand still in the rain, "What!?" I ask thru the soaring raindrops.

"I'm breaking up with you!" He replies.

I freeze. What is he even saying? What's happening?

"Wha- what the hell Graham? Why?" I manage to utter.

He looks uncomfortable and guilty as he avoids eye contact and replies, "Because I want our parents to be together- they look happy."

"I don't want them to call off their marriage because of our relationship- I'm just listening to my dad's advice, sorry y/n" Hw continues.

"And erm- yeah that's that." Graham mumbles then walks past me to go inside.

He leaves me out in the rain and I just stand there, processing what just happened.

I sit down on the doorway for half an hour, just thinking and taking in account what Grahan said to me. It's all very sad. It makes me upset. How am I just suppose to get over him?

I drag my feet inside and close the door behind me. My eyes are red from crying and I wrap my arms around myself while walking towards my bedroom. I feel very cold.

I sneeze as I see my dad mid way.

"Y/n! Oh my god! What happened to you? Did you go out in the rain? Jane! She's ill from the rain" My dad panics and calls for Jane.

She comes in and checks if I have a fever, "It's so late at night! What were you doing out?" She questions me. I say nothing.

"Thankfully you only have a cold, you don't have fever" Jane informs me and my dad.

Then Luna comes in the room as well. They all show concern for me, take care of me, give me some medicine and put me to sleep.

The next morning is bittersweet. What Graham said to me is running in my head repeatedly like a broken record machine. On the other hand, Luna is talking to me and making sure I'm okay and my dad has made tea for me.

He puts his hand on my shoulder, "Y/n, pack up your clothes"

I furrow my eye brows, "What?"

"We're going away for a week so pack up everything you need" He explains.

I am still confused, "Dad?"

He just gives me a sweet smile in return. No answer.

"Dad? Where are we even going? Are you going to give me the context to this?" I stand up and demand answers.

He sighs, "Me and Jane have decided not to see each other till the wedding... So we're going to a hotel for a week. Right now. Go pack quickly"

Before I can say something my dad leaves and motions for me to hurry up. I have no choice but to pack up my things and leave.

I take Luna's help and we finish in an hour with all of my clothes. She seems very excited for the wedding. I can't relate.

I go into the living room where everyone is, including Graham. We bat eyes but he looks away.

He wasn't there tomorrow when I got super sick and now he's all non chalant. He doesn't even care.

My dad and Jane say their goodbyes. I only hug Luna and tell her bye. I ignore Graham and leave for the hotel with my dad...

Graham-

Y/n just left and a lot happened yesterday night. I feel a million different emotions right now.
