The nigh had been quiet and uneventful, no gangs and no zombies, and the sky, now a cool grey, housed both the moon and the sun. A gentle swirl of wind pushed past the draped fabric, filling the air inside the tent with that crisp morning whiff.

Renjun felt his consciousness return, but he stayed put with his eyes closed, trying to enjoy the calm atmosphere. He yawned and stretched before turning around and covering his face with his arm. Reaching for his stomach, Renjun scratched the rashes caused by his shirt and sniffled. He turned around again and sneezed.

"You're getting allergies again?" Jaemin whispered into Renjun's ear, startling the other boy, who had now sat up.

"What the actual fuck, man?" Renjun whisper-yelled, grumpy.

"We're going this place again."

"We?" He huffed, eyes momentarily leaving Jaemin and latching onto a happy hopping Jeno that seemed to be waiting for them outside. Jaemin nodded and Renjun groaned, dragging his hands down his face. "Why- just why?"

Jaemin chuckled and extended his hand for the older boy to take, then pulling Renjun up to his feet. "You really think you did a good job last time?" The other shrugged, remembering how their previous search had been all but meticulous. His eyes then travelled around the tent, finding the rest of the boys sound asleep.

"I'm guessing it's just us, then." He sighed and grabbed his backpack, swinging it over his shoulder. Jaemin nodded once more and handed Renjun his baseball bat, wrapping his arm around his shoulder right after.

"I'll get them something to do later.

They were back at the third floor and the first thing Renjun did was dash away looking for the book he had found the other day, shoving it inside his grey backpack once his hands landed on it.

Jaemin had already left, probably off to sniff around the corners of the walls, hoping the concrete had been laced with cocaine or something of that sort, leaving a judging standing Jeno.

"Um, ok... Priorities, I guess..." He said, eyeing Renjun weirdly before turning around and walking away. Once he was out of sight, the younger boy stuck his tongue out and imitated the other mockingly, offended.

After  many middle fingers to the air, Renjun calmed down and looked down at the desk in front of him. He fiddled with the relatively dirty stack of papers that sat on top of it, then pulling the chair puzzled in the desk out and dusted it before sitting on its surprisingly comfortable cushion. Renjun started to repeatedly tapping on the desk and decided to not be of any help, to lazy to do even the most little job.

Renjun grew bored of the scenery, finding the plain furnishings of the small room far from interesting. He spun around in his chair, reminiscing about his time with the Dreamies. He played his memories like a movie that began the day he met Chenle and ended openly, leaving space for the moments he would share with them in the future.

He leaned back and sighed, thinking over the day before. Maybe they had gotten lucky. Maybe they could call this place home. Maybe they wouldn't have to move again and they could just stay right where they were.

Renjun ran a hand through his hair while huffing. "I need to get out of here. I can't deal with this dusty and dull place." He said, immediately getting up from his seat.

Sniffling, Renjun left the room, planning to find Jeno. He took a change and opened the first door he found, but, unfortunately, no Jeno, just Jaemin throwing cement rocks to a wall.

"What?" The younger boy turned to him inquisitively. Renjun only scowled before turning around and leaving. He walked away and opened the door that followed the one that lead to the room Jaemin was harassing with unneeded force.

"AH, WHAT?!" Jeno screamed and dropped whatever was in hand, caught off guard.

"I'm bored."

Jeno sighed and got up from his crouching position. "And? What does that have to do with me?"

"I don't know." Renjun shrugged and the other boy rolled his eyes.

"You know the door you kicked yesterday?" The younger boy nodded. "The hinges were in such a bad state that Jaemin and I couldn't put it back into its original place. We leaned it against the door frame. Do all of us a favour and check how it's holding up."

Renjun groaned. "Really?"

"What? You said you were bored. I doubt you've done any work, so make yourself useful and do what I said." Jeno said firmly, leaving no room for discussion.

"Fine, fine. I'll do it. It's not like I have anything better to do anyways." He sighed, turning around to leave, but stopping midway. "Do you want me to wake the others up after I'm done with that?"

"Umm, yeah, sure. Why not?"

Renjun nearly tripped as he rushed down the stairs, cursing under his breath. He ruffled his hair, feeling how it had gotten longer that he wanted and dashing towards the entrance the second his feet landed on the first floor.

Placing his hands on his waist, Renjun exhaled relieved. Their poor patch was in a good enough state and he didn't have to fix anything. His eyes darted around the relatively empty and bland floor and wondered if they had struck gold with that place or the complete opposite, scratching the back of his neck. He leaned his head against the wall beside him before turning to lean his back.

"Might as well check this whole place, no?" He spoke out loud and pulling himself away from the wall.

Renjun stomped around, checking all that could turn into a safety hazard, but there was barely anything worth spending time on. However, he still tried his best, starting from the back of the floor and checking the broom closet under the stairs.

He pursed his lips. "Brooms. And dust." Renjun spoke to himself before deciding to check the poorly made concrete floor and judging it as if he even knew anything about construction. He then got up and sighed, walking up to a window and sliding his finger down the dirty glass.

Scowling, he cleaned his finger on his pants while eyeing the scenery presented behind the disgusting window and vowed to one day clean it. Renjun sighed again and cracked his neck, tired for absolutely no reason.

"You sure have been sighing a lot these past few days, Renjun." Jeno said, eyeing him down from the top of the stairs and consequently scaring him.

"Ah, the fuck?!"

The older boy smirked, starting to descend the stairs. "Payback. Come on, lets wake the rest of the guys up. Should be fun enough."

"Lets." Renjun grinned, fixing his backpack and ignoring whatever Jeno had also said, but he stopped to stare fixatedly at the window.

"What? You ok, bro?"

He snapped out of his daze and shook his head, eyebrows furrowed. "Nothing.. I'm probably just seeing shit. Don't worry."

Jeno, now besides Renjun, sighed and placed a hand on his back, pushing him forwards. "Tell me on the way up, ok?"
