Chapter 12 (ANNOUNCEMENT?)

INEZ'S POV

We sat at the table and started to eat our meal.

"Hi everyone. Sorry we are late." Aarav said.

"It's fine, come sit."

"Did you check out the social media handle. It's a mess." Kiaan asked Edhas.

"Hmm, I know that." Edhas replied

"What are you gonna do about it ?" Aarav asked

"It's already done." Edhas told.

"What's done?" They both asked.

"We fixed Inez and Edhas's wedding." Riya mam said.

"What the fuck." Aarav said and started laughing.

"Mind your language, boy." Advik sir said sternly.

"I am sorry, uncle, but are you serious?" Aarav asked to which Edhas replied.

"Yes, we are serious. We already talked about it." He told them, and kiaan asked. "Inez, did you really agree, or he uh, I mean -"

I didn't expect he would asked me.

I was about to reply when aarav beat me to it.

"He means, or he threatened you to do so." He said nonchalantly and pointed towards Edhas.

"No no, I agreed to it. There was no other way to bring this matter down." I told them.

"Do you think people will believe you if you say you are going to marry." Kiaan asked and dad replied him.

"Well, the plan is to make an announcement publicly and say that Edhas and Inez were arranged to marry long ago and this all matter has nothing to do with them. Also with proves saying that they were not anywhere near them when they were murdered . Ohja's wife is also going to be there and she is going to support us. She will make statement that they all were very good with each other and she is sure that this was not done by them. She is going to pretend that she knows Edhas since long and he is very good with them." Dad explained them and continued

"True pictures of Inez and Shravan are also going to be released. Those pictures which were published online were misconceptual."

"Well, I agree that plan is good and this is going to make them innocent, but how did you made Ohja's wife agree to this?" Aarav asked papa.

"She is very good friend of Inaya and she knows how her husband and son were. She also believes us completely and is ready to do this because she knows we can never do it." Papa replied to him.

"When are we going to announce it ?" Riman asked

"Just after we finish lunch. I have made all the arrangements." Abhi told him.

"Do we need Maya to post it on X." Swastik asked me.

"Yes, Swastik call Maya to prepare the post and Riman explain it to her, please." I said to them, and they replied.

"Ok, mam."

Maya Arora is one of my trusted people. There are no worries about talking it to her.

We all continued eating, I felt someone's gaze on me. Of course, who else can other than Edhas Malhotra.
