Mike didn't realize he was absently stirring his straw around in his sprite as he sat at the table and stared at Chester. He was mesmerized by the dark eyeliner around his husband's eyes, and even though it was Jason's first experience with the sandwich shop Chester and Ryan loved so much, Mike's attention was only on Chester.
The four of them had plans to see a movie after dinner, and Mike was still on board with that, despite his attention being on Chester's eyes and the black lip ring that was a little thicker than what he normally wore. It dragged on Chester's lip appealingly, and he had to admit, he had no idea what Chester was even talking about as they sat and waited for their meal. Thoughts of the frantic afternoon trying to get everything ready for Talinda to babysit were far from his mind now. There was a very real and strong desire to take Chester back home coursing through Mike's veins, and as he slowly swirled his sprite, he had to force himself not to suggest it.
He could tell Chester knew he looked good. It was deliberate and Mike knew it, and now Chester was deeply involved in telling a story that had Ryan also watching him intently. Chester was clearly the center of attention tonight, and that always led to exciting places. Mike shifted in his seat when Chester's knee brushed against his, and he waited for his husband to send a knowing glance his way, but he didn't. He kept talking with his hands, and held the attention of everyone at the table easily.
Ryan had opted for a beer when they ordered their sandwiches at the counter earlier, but he'd barely taken a sip. Chester was in storytelling mode - hand gestures, funny voices, and expressions that made Ryan both laugh, and want to rip Chester's clothes off. Or take him to the mens room.
The thought pulled Ryan's attention off of Chester for only a second as he glanced toward the back hallway that led to the restrooms. Where we shared our first kiss as boyfriends. If that old guy wouldn't have interrupted us, I wonder how far we would have gone?
Visions of dragging Chester into the bathroom stall and pulling his pants down so they could let their bodies come together for a few seconds of ecstasy crossed his mind. It would have been like that time in Talinda's office. Fast but fire.
Right at the moment, Chester pulled a double fist pump, and Ryan's eyes widened as he stared at the red and blue flames - the fire - on Chester's arms. Ryan licked his lips and then took a sip of his beer. Just like Mike, the thicker, darker lip ring on Chester tonight was only adding to Ryan being consumed. It matched the eye liner his boyfriend had put on and the black nail polish and the black underwear that he'd spotted before they'd all left the house earlier. It was going to be a good night, and even though they hadn't eaten or gone to the movies yet, Ryan was looking forward to going home.
Jason was subtly watching both his husband and his boyfriend as Chester talked. He was listening, too, and he could understand the appeal of watching Chester's mouth move around the new lip ring. But Ryan and Mike were next level absorbed in the story, and even though he was right in the middle of the story at the four sided square table, Jason felt strangely left out. The black nails and eyeliner looked good on Chester, but it wasn't a turn on to Jason the way he knew it was to the others.
He picked up his wine glass and swirled it. It was from a mid-priced bottle, and even though he'd recommended it to Mike, his lover hadn't followed his lead. The wine smelled fine, and Jason watched Mike play with his straw over the rim of the glass as he tasted it. There wasn't anything remarkable about it, but it was drinkable, and he impulsively decided to hold it out to Mike. "Want to try it?" he asked in the silence after Chester ended his story, and all three pairs of his partners' eyes turned to him in surprise, like they'd forgotten he was sitting there.
Mike shook his head first, but then held his hand out for the glass when he saw the look that passed over Jason's face. He swirled it once and tasted it quickly. "It's good," he affirmed before he turned his attention back to Chester, pushing the glass toward his boyfriend. "I know you were talking about tofu and Score, but it's hard to hear anything when you look so fucking hot," he admitted, reaching out to gently flip the new lip ring he'd been staring at. "When did you get this?"
