Ryan was on the couch, Julien in his lap as they looked at a story book together. The main character was a mouse who didn't like cheese and all the other mice made fun of him. Of course, Ryan knew that by the end of the story, Timmy the Mouse would find a whole bunch of mice who also didn't like cheese. It was a happy ending to a strange story, and one that Mike usually commented on every time Ryan read it out loud to Julien.

But today, Mike was distracted. He was on the other couch, the twins on their playmats just a few feet away. Ryan knew Mike was keeping an eye on the girls as they babbled and kicked their feet while trying to reach the toys dangling over their heads. But every time Ryan looked his way, Mike was grinning at his phone.

Julien slapped at the book with an impatient "no!" and Ryan had to figure he wasn't interested in hearing about Timmy finding other lactose intolerant mice today. "Okay, okay," he told Julien as he let him down, and right away he was going after Cheese. "Maybe he's getting too old for this book," he lamented as he held it up. "The mouse doesn't like cheese, and his best playmate is Cheese. Maybe it's confusing."

He waited, but Mike didn't even look up from his phone as he bit his bottom lip while he typed. Ryan left the mouse book on the coffee table and leaned back against the couch, crossing his ankle over his knee. "Okay, Shinoda," he said with half a smile. "I know that look. You're texting with Chazzy, aren't you?" He glanced over his shoulder towards Jason's office before he looked back at Mike and cocked his eyebrow. "Sexy texting? I know that's your husband's speciality."

Mike couldn't help the grin showing around his teeth as he kept hold on his bottom lip. Chester had been sexy texting all morning, and even though it wasn't even lunchtime yet, Mike was impatient for his husband to get home. He didn't even look Ryan's way. "He's in a mood for sure," he said with a smirk. "I'm trying to get him to come home for lunch."

Ryan snorted before he put his head back with a softer laugh. "Oh goodness. Trying to get Chazzy to come home for a booty call." He picked his head up off the back of the couch. "I'll be shocked if he doesn't find a way. He's here half the time for lunch anyway since Score's just down the street." He flipped his hand through the air in the direction of the infamous building where Chester spent half his life. And Talinda. And Rob now, too. Wow.

"Apparently they're having to work through lunch," Mike said as he texted Chester back. "Forrest catered it in so they could finish a project... he's not even paying attention." He added a kiss and a wink emoji to the end of his text and pressed send before he looked over at Ryan. "If it's anything like the last few days, dinner is going to be a little late." Mike chuckled to himself. Ever since Chester had gotten past his mental barrier to be on top again, they'd had sex every day. It was like they were living in the USC apartments again.

Ryan grinned. "Oh I know. I've heard. From you," he chuckled with a happy shrug. "And a little from him. Now that we all live together, our sexy story telling with each other has gone down quite a bit." He glanced over his shoulder again towards Jason's office before he looked back at Mike, the expression on his face slightly different now. "Bummer he can't escape to come home and throw you on the bed. I'd fill in for him," he teased, his hand to his shirt front. "But Julien and I have things to do here shortly. We're going out to the grocery store and then to the pool supply place to pick up some new filters, and I promised him we'd go through the car wash." Ryan beamed down at Julien, who was throwing a ball for Cheese. "He loves going through the car wash. He thinks it's funny."

"That's cute," Mike said absently as he read Chester's latest text that mentioned the green and pink scarves they'd used a few weeks ago. The idea made his body flush with arousal and he sucked in a breath before he agreed that scarves sounded like fun. "Wow, all bets are off now that he's back in the groove," he joked to Ryan without looking at him. "I'm going to have to take a nap this afternoon to be ready for his crazy ass."
