It was almost nighttime. A nice cool breeze filled up Robin's room for the last time before he closed the window so his daughter doesn't get cold. She was already sleeping soundly even though the sun was just setting. Summer was already there. The hot weather blessed the Titans today, resulting in them choosing to play volleyball on the rooftop together. Michelle was invited to the game and participated in many matches which resulted in wanting to go to sleep early. Robin didn't mind that, but he made her eat a light dinner first. He was currently in the living room, drinking tea after eating dinner and explaining his recent discovery.
- So... something weird happened this afternoon - he began telling the story. - I had an injury on my arm, and still do, and Michelle touched it for a moment with her hands. I stopped feeling pain after that - he showed them the wound.
- Man, are you sure you didn't convince yourself that her touch is healing ya? - Cyborg was skeptical.
- You would be right, if I couldn't do that - he grabbed his bruised spot firmly with his other hand, poked it and allowed the wound to bleed, but he was doing it with full confidence, without a flinch.
The team was sitting there with terrified faces, watching him hurt his arm further without any signs of even slight discomfort or regret.
- Okay okay!! Stop it, leave it!!! We believe you!!!! - Beast Boy covered up his eyes and lowered his ears, not being able to take such a view any longer.
Seeing that, Robin stopped touching his wound. It was bleeding, but he was sitting there unbothered by it. He could move his arm in all directions and the pain still wouldn't appear. Raven couldn't stand looking at this so she got up, approached him from behind and touched the injured area with her cold hand. Robin reacted to the temperature. The witch calmed him down gently and explained what she's doing.
- I'm going to remove the bleeding cut and leave the bruise to see how long this feeling will remain for - she told him in her monotone voice and moved away.
- Thanks - he nodded at her and observed his very purply mark.
She sat down on her previous spot.
- Does Myth feel any side effects after she uses it on somebody? - she asked curiously.
- It doesn't seem like it, but you will have to ask her personally - he explained shortly.
- Then I will - Raven decided and sipped some of her tea.
Their conversation didn't go on for very long. Soon, it was time to sleep and prepare for another hot day so they all separated and abandoned the dirty dishes to wash tomorrow morning. The leader left the common room last to make sure that the security system is on and prepared to defend them when they aren't watching. Then, he entered his dark warm room. With a gentle smile on his face, Robin stood by his bed, admiring his sleeping daughter. He moved around quietly in order not to wake her up to fix the blanket on her and then lay down. Crawling to her side, he observed her face expression to tell if she's bothered by him or not. The leader laid down gently and, supported by his right forearm, continued on looking at her. Messy hair, open mouth, shirt slightly pulled up to her stomach with arms opened and laying on her sides. He felt like he could look at her forever. With a careful hand movement, he removed her hair from over her forehead and planted a soft and soundless kiss onto it, making sure she won't wake up.
Looking at her more and more, he realized that she is still pale, but more pinkish tones returned to her face. From a malnourished, sad, and addicted girl, Michelle became a lot more healthy and happy even though her facial expressions didn't really show it. Robin could tell based on how lively, present, and social she has become. Filled with pride and happiness, the father placed one of his hands onto her jaw and bowed down to press his lips against her cheek and nose. His gaze loving and tender as always. He regretted the way he behaved towards Myth in the beginning of her stay. His lack of patience bothered him as he realized that it wasn't necessary and that he could've hurt his child more than help. With a soft sigh at his unprofessional behavior, he promised himself that if similar events ever happen in the future, he will remain calm and loving no matter what because she deserves it. As a form of a clumsy apology, he tenderly and lovingly kissed her cheek and forehead two more times before laying down his head to rest.
