Though it took some time Noah eventually dared to go in. I held his hand softly, making to breathe carefully but loud enough for Noah to be able to catch on and breathe with him.
Noah couldn't help but have a major mix of emotions. The feeling that someone like Leone truly cared for him was overwhelming. Leone was such a kind person if you were a good person, Leone was the person that he actually found that cared about him since he was a child.
“Looks like the food area isn't crowded, Wanna get something from there?” He smiled, The same one he showed off claiming me as his best friend. He truthfully didn't see how I saw him, a perfect person who deserves the world.
How did he not see that I didn't deserve to be anything to him? Sure I loved him. Even if he would never know. He deserved everything I could get him. “Alright, may as well start with something.” I huffed, Stepping away from a group of rowdy kids, powdered sugar covering their faces, “And if it's not too messy…” Leoned laughed softly.
The butterflies in my stomach roared, Flush hitting my face. He really didn't know the effect he had on me. Instead, he thought I was just a friend. Even if I saw him as more. So, so much more. “It's not that messy if you eat the food properly!” He hummed getting into a line. The food truck had large letters of multiple foods that did not whatsoever seem healthy. “What in God's earth is an elephant ear? Or deep-fried Oreo.”
Leone only smirked, He walked up, and a lady that most men would find attractive smiled “Hi, what can I get you two lovely men?” I tried hard not to grimace at the lady.
I looked at the menu for a second before Leo spoke. “Can we get a deep-fried Oreo, elephant ear, and two lemonades please?” I took out my wallet, considering I said I would pay for all of the food bought. She took the money before messily making the food.
I didn't reach for the food. Considering her hands were gripping the damn thing. “Thank you,” Leone said getting the food. Letting me get the drinks instead. He led up to a secluded area I didn't sit on the bench. Not first at least I set down a small blanket I put in my bag in case we had to sit on the floor. “You gotta try the deep-fried Oreos first!” I nodded, grabbing one carefully so as to not get powdered sugar everywhere. I took a bite. I didn't know what I was expecting. Or I wasn't expecting it. But it did taste good. I hummed softly nodding. What was I supposed to say in a moment like this? “It's really good” I saw him smile.
The food was a lot. It filled me up quickly. Though instead of offering the rides Leone said we should check out the shops and games. He claimed that sometimes they had really good stuff. So that's where we are, looking around on a small put-up tent, miscellaneous things scattered all around on different tables. A lot of it was clothing and bracelets however there were still a few interesting things.
“Is that snowflake obsidian?” I questioned out loud. Going over to look at the small stone lying by a few other crystals. Leone during some time of my being here stood behind me.
I felt his breath on my neck. A shiver ran down my spine from the warm air. “Oh, that's pretty, especially the tree one.” He hummed looking at all the varys of crystal trees. “That one kinda looks like a cherry blossom, it's really pretty.” I hummed looking at the rose quarts tree.We ended up walking out of the shop area with two bags of random items. I started to feel more comfortable with the surroundings, keeping my thoughts on Leone.
The games were terrible. It was obvious that they were rigged yet people still tried to play them proving they were good or something. Not to mention the prizes themself were either live animals that no one was prepared for or just flat-out creepy dolls. Leone did find some ski game that gave actual good prizes, he got a small stuffed animal he held it close, almost as if a lover got it for him.
