Chapter 1 I’m Out

Third person pov.

The case of the Luna Ghost was finished, and the fake ghost was caught by none other than the mystery inc team.

Skylar Rogers, one of the Mystery Incorporated members, stood off on the side lines in a lot of pain; the pain she bit back and swallowed down as the interviews started.

This pain was once again overlooked by her teammates and really anyone at the moment.

She had once again got injured working a case. An injury that could have been avoided, but of course, like normal for her, she's the one that got the rump of it all. As the others were left with some scratches and bruises, she's left with a sprained wrist, a badly bitten down lip, and probably a concussion. She will be fine.

She was in pain, a lot actually, but like every group, theirs the damsel in distress, Daphne Blake; the smart one, Velma; the leader, Fred; the goofballs, Shaggy and Scooby; then there was Skylar, the accident prone one. In almost every case they take, she always gets hurt. However, she's only getting hurt because “their plans” always backfire and go wrong, and she's the one who is always caught between it all.

Fred Jones, the leader of the team, had taken the lead of taking the glory and credit of the case being taken care of and this factory being saved.

This left Vemla pissed off and disappointed. It was her plan that they listened to and agreed hours ago in their van, but of course Fred once again took the full credit for her plan when asked of, never once did he say it was her plan or even look her way.

Even though the plan didn't even work at the end and it caused someone- no, not someone, one of their teammates to get hurt.

Luckily, though, Velma got her chance to get the spotlight that she deserved when she explained how the “ghost” flew around.

The interview is still going on, but for Skylar, she couldn't take the clicking and the flashing of the cameras anymore, plus everyone's voices were like drills in her head causing throbbing there and sickness in her stomach. She had to leave before she got sicker than she already was.

Plus, no one asks her anything or even remembers that she's in the group anyways, so leaving wasn't a problem for her, or really anyone… Well not really; there were a few that saw her leave, but only one continued the interview like it was nothing.

Skylar left for one of the few ambulances that showed up at the factory to, of course, get checked out. Shaggy and Scooby followed slowly behind her, talking about how cool the whole skateboarding they had done and how they should totally do it again.

Skylar was frustrated and just plain out tired of everything in life. She's done with this whole case and everyone that's involved with it at this point.

The youngest member of the Mystery Incorporated would be Skylar Rogers, Shaggys’ younger sister. She's only a year and a half younger than her older brother.

She would be classified as the accident prone one, the forgotten one, and the pity  member that they put into the group because their parents also pitied her and told them they had to. Even though every single one, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby and Skylar ended up grouping up together on their first ever case when they were very young; so she was already in the group because she was there and very much helped them out.

All of them bonded that night. However, there were still questions on if Skylar should be there or not. To them, “she was too young to join,” and / or “is she even capable?” (missing the fact that she was very much capable, she helped save them that night). Then there was a bit of jealousy and insecurities between the group, stupid kids stuff. The parents saw and that's why Skylar was pushed by the parents to be fully in the group so, “she wouldn't be left out or alone,” making it like Skylar couldn't fully make friends herself.
