Chapter 6

"Hey I need to talk to you for a minute." I told Rickey.

"What?"

"Drop the attitude." I frowned at him and he followed me into the den.

"I got an apartment, so Sophia and I will be moving."

"What about that boyfriend of yours?"

"He is not moving in with us, it's just not the right time for that."

"He can't stay there."

"Excuse me, that is not any of your business."

"It is when my daughter is involved."

"I am her mother and have been since day one. I would never let her around him if I knew he was bad news. Colin loves her and is so amazing with her. "

"That's great."

"Don't." I sighed.

"What, sooner or later he's going to be moving in."

"Maybe he will, maybe he won't. He is not going to replace you as her dad, you are her daddy. I'm not taking her away from you, I would never do that."

"Mommy, daddy." I looked over and saw Sophia frowning at us.

"What baby?"

"Are you fighting?"

"No honey, we were just talking."

"Come on princess, one more episode then daddy has to get going."

"No stay."

"Yes, I have to get to work." She frowned and they went back into the living room to watch a show. I watched as she curled up to him and sighed. He was doing a little better with her, but I still didn't really trust him.

"So you and mommy are going to move, are you excited?"

"Yea, but I miss nana and poppa."

"I'm sure your mommy will bring you here all the time, so it will be like you never left."

"I guess."

"It will be just fine."

I know he probably didn't agree on us moving, but it what's best for all of us. Yes, I would love for Colin to move in with us, but we're just not ready for that yet.

"Alright baby girl, it's time for daddy to go."

"I will see you soon okay."

"Promise."

"Promise, now give me hugs."

She gave him his hugs and kisses then followed him over to the door.

"Love you baby girl."

"Love you daddy." I heard the door close then she came running into my arms.

"I don't like when he leaves."

"I know honey, but he has his own house."

"But Colin stayed with us."

"That was one time."

"How come daddy can't stay one night?"

"Because Colin wouldn't like it very much, if he was staying with me."

"But he stay in my room."

"Baby, daddy is way too tall to be sharing a bed with you. Maybe one day, you can go stay at daddy's house."

"You too?"

"No, just you and daddy."

"Why?"
