Once he was conscious, he noticed he wasn’t in the hallway where he was knocked out, but rather someone’s bedroom. Cherry hadn’t noticed he regained consciousness as of yet, pacing around anxiously, trying to figure out what to do with Ludwig….

He knew for sure he definitely wasn’t letting him free….not yet.

Ludwig groaned as he began to wake up. The first thing he noticed as he came too was the fact he wasn’t on the hard wooden floor of the hallway anymore. He was somewhere soft, like a bed. His second observation was the sound of someone pacing around, clearly nervous about something.

He slowly sat up, looking around. Everything was still blurry, probably from waking up. It took a moment for everything to come into focus. When he could make out his surroundings clearly, he realized he was in some sort of bedroom. He started to piece everything together in his head.

The red-headed Prince took notice of the other being awake “I wouldn’t sit up if I were you…”His voice was soft…almost shaky, as if he was nervous.

The red-headed Prince took notice of the other being awake. “I wouldn’t sit up if I were you…”
His voice was soft…almost shaky, as if he was nervous

“Not good for you right now. I hit you pretty hard…”He admitted sheepishly. “Is that an admission of guilt I hear…?” Ludwig quipped back.  Ludwig grumbled, letting his hand fly up to the back of his head. He rubbed his head, feeling the spot where the impact of the pan must have hit. Damn it. That was gonna leave a bruise later.
"Ah?" Cherry was caught a bit off guard "Take it as you wish....but I wouldn't try anything either...if I were you, that is." Cherry motions to Ludwig's wand, which was in his hand.  Ludwig looked down to his wand in surprise.
So, the bastard had taken it from him while he was unconscious. "Of course you've got that..." He let out another grumble, crossing his arms. He was now truly starting to realize he had absolutely zero leverage in this situation. He didn't even have the means to defend himself.
"Don't worry, l'm not going to use it...i'm at least respectful." "At least you're respectful..."Ludwig muttered under his breath. At least he wasn't dealing with a completely barbaric and idiotic prince. But at the same time, it was more to his disadvantage. He let out a sigh.
"I suppose I should be asking why you even brought me here then? You could have just killed me, but for some reason, you didn't..."
"My ideals aren't the same as the others...maybe that's why they don't really like me all that much.."Cherry sighs, his gloved hands resting on a windowsill. "So, you're the gentle, sweet prince type then..?" Ludwig tilted his head a little, looking at him with a calculating gaze. It would explain his hesitancy to do anything to harm him. "I'd like to think that."Cherry smiles slightly "But who am I to let that get to my head, hm?"
"So humble too.''Ludwig let out a scoff of amusement. He let his gaze linger over the prince, taking in his appearance once again. Everything about him was soft and gentle. Even the way he smiled...A thought suddenly popped into his head, and he let out a soft hum of recognition. "I sense sarcasm."
"You'd be correct in that assumption."Ludwig responded. He went silent for a few brief moments before speaking again. He might as well ask the question that had popped into his head a moment ago.
"Can I ask you something...?"
Cherry hums in acknowledgment. "I remember hearing a few guards talking when I was trying to find you..."Ludwig started, pausing for a moment before continuing. He kept his gaze mostly on a wall to the left of the prince.
"They said that the kitchen was one of the most important things to guard, is that correct?"  Cherry sighs softly
"I was...originally in the kitchen..." A look of amusement appeared on Ludwig's face as he heard the prince's response. Why did that not surprise him, that he was in the kitchen. Heraised an eyebrow slightly as he spoke. "So, you like to bake?"
"Yep!" "So you like baking...are always polite and gentle....a walking contradiction to the rest of your family..."Ludwig let out an amused hum as a small smirk appeared on his face."Let me guess, you despise fighting as well, don't you?"
"It is something l'd like to avoid." "Of course you'd want to avoid it." Ludwig had to hold back a small chuckle. Why was this sweet, gentle prince so... cute?
He shook his head, getting rid of that thought before he lost his focus. He suddenly realized something and spoke again. "If you were in the kitchen, then I have to ask you something." "Go ahead"
"What were you even doing in the kitchen that the guards said the kitchen was so important to guard?"He tilted his head, watching the prince as he waited for a response. Everything was starting to click together in his mind now. The guards being sent to guard the kitchen... the prince being in there at the time...
"I was baking some muffins at the time." Oh, that was too precious. He was baking muffins? Really? A smile started to make itself more obvious on his face. That's adorable...
"And they sent a whole squad of troops to guard the kitchen because...you were baking a batch of muffins..?" "I guess so...they can be rather dramatic... much like my father"
"And here I thought the troops here were taking their jobs seriously. But no, they're just guarding a kitchen because the prince is making muffins..."He had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep himself from laughing out loud. This kingdom really is weak. "It's silly, I know!" The Prince chuckles slightly
That chuckle really was adorable. It was almost infectious, as Ludwig found himself fighting back a chuckle of his own. He couldn't help it. That chuckle was just so... well, cute.

"Yeah, it really is absurd. You baking a batch of muffins has gotta be like the least harmful thing that can happen in this stupid kingdom..." "Speaking of muffins, I still have some leftover.
Would you like some?" An amused hum left Ludwig's throat as Cherry spoke. He was kind of hungry now that he thought about it. "Do I want some? I mean, hell yes. I'm starving..."
Cherry hummed happily, leaving the room to go grab them Ludwig watched as the prince left the room to go grab the muffins. He leaned back a bit against the headboard of the bed, letting out a small sigh. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he was starting to warm up to this soft, gentle prince...
Eventually, Cherry returned, carrying a small tray of muffins, shutting the door with his foot "Help yourself! I can always make more!"
"Well, don't mind if I do..."
With that said, Ludwig reached out and took a muffin from the tray. He took a moment to look it over before taking a bite. A look of approval appeared on his face as he chewed the bite he took. Damn, these were better than he expected. Silence fell over the two for a few more moments. It actually wasn't an entirely uncomfortable silence. Ludwig continued eating the muffin, taking the time to appreciate the taste. He also took that time to study the prince, not realizing he was sort of admiring his looks.
"You know... you're not as bad as I thought you'd be."Ludwig raised an eyebrow as he heard the prince speak. That was sort of interesting, and admittedly, a little surprising to hear. No one has ever really given him a compliment like that. He hummed, finishing the last of the muffin he had before speaking.
"Is that your way of saying I'm actually tolerable?"

"Yeah...but don't let that get to your head. I don't exactly trust you....as of yet"

Ludwig let out a scoff and rolled his eyes at that response. He expected that the prince wouldn't completely trust him, that it would probably take more than just a conversation and some muffins to earn his trust. But somehow, a part of him felt a little... disappointed, by that response. He shook that feeling off, not wanting to dwell on it too much. He gave the prince a shrug instead.
"Yeah, can't say I'm surprised. Trust takes time,I suppose..." "Mhm."Cherry hummed in agreement.
"Say, why did you choose to invade this kingdom exactly...?"He tilts his head slightly, quite curious Ludwig thought for a moment about his answer. He honestly didn't have a real reason to invade this place. It was weak, probably had the least amount of defenses out of all the other kingdoms, and had a prince that clearly preferred baking over fighting...
"Mostly because it was the easiest. You guys don't exactly have a good kingdom or defenses, so it was an easy take-over..." He responded rather bluntly. "If it was so easy as you say it was, then you wouldn't be stuck in my room with a concussion and your troops being in the dungeon currently..."Cherry pointed out
A look of annoyance appeared on Ludwig's face as the prince had the audacity to point that out. Damn it, why'd he have to bring up his failed mission? He let out a sigh, knowing he was right. "I guess you're right about that..."He mumbled out, a hint of embarrassment in his voice.
Their conversation had been interrupted by a knock on the door, calling for Cherry. “Looks like I’m being called, you, rest. Don’t try anything..” the Prince shuts the door behind him, leaving Ludwig by himself. Good grief, he was too sweet it made Ludwig sick..now he had to heal so he could try again…
