When I reached the bus stop I noticed that there was a girl I didn't recognise leaning on my spot. My good mood instantly disappeared down the drain. I hate people stealing my spot I spent nearly 3 years working on getting that spot and I wasn't gonna let anybody take it off me. The other people went quiet. They all waited for the explosion which was to come. I an known for having a bit of a fiery temper. There was an incident back in '08 where I may have slightly lost my temper and accsidently put the schools queen bee in therapy for 2 years. How was I suppose to know that she was afraid of snakes?
The new girl looked at me and for the first time I noticed that she was quite pretty. Standing at 5' 10" she was only shorter than me by 2". She had dark brown almost black hair and deep, bottomless eyes.
"You're in my spot." I growled. "Move!"
The new girl looked at me and her eyes widened. I didn't know why. I looked behind me but no one was there. She had a half-smile on her face and looked fairly amused. I on the other hand was not. I hate people being mean about me. It was a very common occurrence at my school. The anti-bullying program truly lacked any help what so ever. You were likely to get bullied even worse if you tried to get help. One of the reasons that I was bulled so much was because I have long red hair which apparently, in the right light, looks like fire. My eyes though are just plain, run of the mill, green. They do have flecks of gold rimming then though.
"My name is Raven Snow. I was not named after that bloody bird. I am going to be joining your school."
I just looked at her and wondered why she was talking to me.
Someone from my stop walked up to her and stated, "New girl. If you want to get in good with the popular people then you should stop talking to the Fire Queen. As it is your first day you can be excused, but from now on you should know. Why don't you hang out with us cool guys?"
Raven was shaking. The guy saw and looked at her in symphony and said "We are not scary. Come join us. We will get on like a house on fire. Ignore the weirdo." soothingly. He glared at me as well. Raven was beside herself with anger by now. I was surprised that the guy couldn't feel it.
Raven then said coolly. "I will talk to who I want. I will hang out with who I want. That person is not you." I was completely shocked. No one ever stood up for me. You
I just muttered. "Listen to them. You could hang out with whoever you want. Just do it."
I then turned and went to walk away. Raven's hand quickly stopped me from going anywhere. She then looked me directly in my eyes. For the first time I looked at her, not at her beauty but, really at her. I could see pain and regret in her eyes. But mostly I saw rage. Complete, furious rage.
