🩵 Baby Blue (2D x Lottie Perry fanfic)

Spring 2002 (meeting)

2D sighed as he sat in the old car parked outside the small pub. It all happened so fast but felt anything but out of character for what occurred, he was just relieved to be out of that building at the worst time to irritate the arrogant bass player.

Earlier, the singer had walked in on Murdoc and the new housekeeper having sex during what should have been her work time, taken away by her boss, 2D made the mistake of taunting the green bassist, leading to himself getting clocked on the head with a book by the angry and erect bassist. Possibly the worst time to get Murdoc in rage mode was during sex like at that moment, he was glistened in sweat and his green complexion appeared shadier and his hair was sleek but disheveled.

2D emerged from the car and headed in to just spend sometime and wait till the perfect time to go back to the studio. He left a sticky note on the counter so Russel and Noodle knew where he was without worrying them.

Inside wasn't much of a hassle, there were a few people sitting at the bar and in booths. He spotted a couple of pretty women sitting all the way in the corner but not too far to see well despite his poor eyesight.

The two women were chatting and giggling over their pink martinis, one had long straight lavender hair hair a couple black hair clips in front, wearing bright red lipstick and teal eye-shadow, the other woman was facing her lavender-haired friend and could only be seen of her honey colored hair and long pink nails tapping against her glass.

He went and sat down at the bar to get a drink. During his requesting the friend with the lavender hair looked over at him and began whispering.

"Oh my goodness, look love is that him? The singer in that band?" She pointed quickly but briefly so she was being rude or suspicious.

"I don't know, I guess." The honey haired woman turned to look. "He looks so... exotic." She said, smiling.

Her friend looked at her and smirked. "I dare you to go talk to him."

"What, no I can't, what if he's already with someone?" She asked.

I'm not pressuring you, but you seem intrigued.

She looked at her dear friend and smiled. "Wish me luck, I'm gonna say hello." She winked as she got up from her seat to meet the singer.

2D took a sip of his drink before realizing the honey-haired woman standing next to him. He looked up at her in awe, she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen in his life, other than her friend. Her skin appeared sun-kissed and her eyes were emerald green, she wore a spahgetti strapped dress revealing a sun tattoo on her upper lefty arm, her lips were pink and plump and was wearing glittery sea foam green eye-shadow.

"Oh lord she is cute." The singer thought to himself, he was so caught up he was speechless, but not to worry, the woman was the one to make the first move.

"Are you in a band?" She asked, fidgeting with her polished fingernails and biting her lip.

"Oh yes, I sing, I'm in a band called Gorillaz, you've probably heard of it." He explained.

"Ooh nice." She smiled, Lottie could already feel her nerves rising as she responded, but managed to absorb more courage to talk again. "So... what bring you here on this fine night?" She asked, her friend Kimmy watched her body behavior play from afar as she made conversation with the blue-haired man.

"Oh, I needed some time out, everything is so crazy now, I never thought I'd be the lead singer in a band." He explained.

"I see." Lottie nodded as the tired looking musician sighed. "Did you always want to be one?"

"Well actually, I wanted to be many things when I was younger, but before my accident some years ago, I've always been into music my whole life, how bout you?" He asked her.

"Yes, I loved listening to Fleetwood Mac and The Cranberries, me and my mother used to listen to Fleetwood together years ago." She replied, reminiscing on the past.

2D admired the woman's adorable appearance, the way the edges of her mouth curled when she smiled softly, how her face lit up in that moment, she was such a dream girl.

Lottie looked back down on him. "You have such nice hair, I love blue, it's my favorite color." Lottie added. "Like mine?" 2D asked. "I like baby blue, it's cute."

"Well, it wasn't always like this, it was brown before but when I was young I fell out of a tree and all me hair fell out and came back like this." 2D explained as he twisted a lock of his azure hair.

"You have yourself some lovely hair too, it's gorgeous on ya." He complimented back. Lottie blushed and smiled. "Thank you." She replied cheekily. She wanted to mention his eyes too but thought she was asking too much.

"And I bet ya wondering how I got this." 2D gestured to his eyes, which appeared as two dark voids, which were actually just two orbs pushed back and filled with dark dried blood, a hint of super dark red could be seen if you took a closer look.

"Oh, what happened?" Lottie asked. "Well it's a long story actually, but I just have to ask, what's ya name?" 2D switched topics to learn the honey girl's name.

"Oh, I should have asked first, my name is Charlotte Perry." She said, Kimmy sneaked up behind her and blurted. "But everyone calls her Lottie, and I'm Kimmy!" Lottie jumped a bit and smirked.

"That's a cute name, I'm Stuart Harold Pot, you could just call me Stuart or 2D." He said back.

"I told you, his name couldn't just be 2 and D." Said Kimmy, she and Lottie giggled.

"What if we just call you Stuart?" Kimmy asked, Lottie looked back at him. "Well I wouldn't mind to be honest, I go by the former now these days but I didn't really pick to be called that."

"Does ya mum call ya that?" Kimmy asked again. "Kim ok." Lottie patted her friend's shoulder.

"No she just calls me Stuart." Lottie checked her white kitten watch to see the time. "Oh Kimmy, we gotta get going soon." She smiled back at 2D. "It was nice meeting you Stuart, we better call a cab now." She looked into her purse for some cash.

"I could give you a ride, if you want." He suggested. Lottie looked up with her hand still in the bag. "You would?"

2D and the two women exited the pub together, both Lottie and Kimmy were stunned when he was standing up, he was so tall, he practically towered the ladies even in their heels.

"Why come alone Stuart." Kimmy asked. "I got run out by my bassist." He said, if Murdoc had heard him say "my bassist" he'd probably throw a fit, even with the ladies with him.

"Damn this man is tall innit?" Kimmy whispered. "Yeah." Lottie looked up to him again.

Lottie sat up front with 2D, during their ride 2D explained how he got his double 8 ball fracture.

"I'm surprised you can still see well with both your eyes affected." Said Kimmy. "Yeah, you're really unique you know Stuart." Lottie smiled at him.

"Ah well, I still take medication so it's not that easy." He sighed. 2D parked near the curb of Kimmy's flat to drop Lottie and her home. "You two live together?" He asked.

"Yeah, we're roommates." Kimmy opened the car door to exit the car. "Thank you Stuart." Kimmy waved as she headed for the door. Lottie was still in the car writing something down on a sticky note. "Goodnight." She smiled as she got out of the car.

"You too Charlotte." He said, it was only when he returned to Kong did he notice what was on the note she left behind, it was her phone number.

"I'm definitely seeing her again." He said to himself.
