Chapter one

A woman wakes up to an empty house. its quiet and there is not a peep to be heard. The woman sighs contently. She thinks to herself "Peace at last." She gets up smiling from her bed with a spring in her step.

She heads to the bathroom and gets a shower. Finished in the shower she goes to her wardrobe to decide what to wear for the day. "Hmm .." She thinks to herself, "I need something simple that says that I'm an Independent woman".

She finally chooses a yellow top with sparkles and blue jeans. She heads downstairs and decides to wear a white shoal with blue prints. She grabs her red handbag and checks she has things that she needs for the day.

She tips her handbag upside down and the contents fall out. The contents are:

A Red Purse with £5 and picture of toddler (Her Granddaughter)

Her Glasses in a brown case,

South Devon postcard that reads :"Told you We would, till next time Sam."

The postcard is addressed to A Carling 27 brook close SA
And inside her handbag she is carrying the following,
Ticket for 1 adult from Alverton to Manchester,
half a packet of tissues
Vaseline tin,
strepslis ,
Old keys
Red lipstick in green casing,
A screwdriver
Some matchsticks
A Pen,
Her silver brooch
Mr Samwell's phone number
A button and spare coins.

She picks up the postcard and sighs "Why can't he just leave well alone.?!"

She picks up all her things and puts them back in her bag. She looks at her watch and realizes that she is going to be late. She heads off out the door and walks around the corner to the train station.

She puts her ticket through the barrier and the barriers open up. She makes her way to the platform. "Phew, made it just in time."

She moves forward to get onto the train but a Ticket inspector blocks her path.

"Excuse me ma'm Ticket please." She fumbles into her bag until she finds the Ticket and hands it over to him."

"That's fine". He smiles at her "Business or Pleasure?. She smiles back at him. "Neither." He nods at her and gives her the ticket back.
She climbs aboard the train with a sunken feeling in her stomach.

She has started the journey now and there is absolutely no going back.
