Chapter 9

As Chad entered the control room, He spoke to his team. "Right.. Let's get this show on the road.. Have we got a visual on the suspect?."

A young woman nodded "Yes sir.." She does some typing into the computer and a camera shows the suspect on a large screen.

Chad groans "Oh boy.. We've got trouble. He puts his headset on his ears again.

"This is Bravo One.. Bravo Two have you got a possible shot on the suspect?."

A crackle appears annoyingly for Chad on the radio.
"Yes sir.. Would you like us to fire?."

Chad sighs "Negative Bravo Two, is Hilary Johnson at the scene yet?."

A crackle appears waiting for a reply."

"Yes sir.. Would you like to speak to her?."

"That would be great Bravo Two."

A crackle appears and you could hear the sound of the radio being passed in.

"Chad.. What is it?.. This better not be a joke!."

"Negative boss.. Do you have a visual on the suspect? On our camera's he has a gun to the daughters head.. I repeat he has a weapon and a hostage."

"Received Chad.. Keep an eye on the situation and inform me of any changes."

"Received.. Over and out."

She turned to her colleagues. "I want a negotiator down here immediately."

There was a chatter nearby by some of her colleagues and one of her colleges still on the phone turned to Hilary. "There's none available ma'am they are all out at other crime scene's".

She sighs "So it's up to me is it.. Personally I'd rather shoot him."

Her colleague shrugged "Do you want one on standby?."

She shook her head "No.. I can do it.. I have to, There's a colleague out there."

Her colleague nodded "Are you sure you know what your doing?." She was running towards the crime scene when her Colleague yelled "Do you even have negotiation training and hostage training?.. Do you even know the bloody protocol?!"

She turned to look back. "I'll be fine.. Yes I've had the training.. Trust me on this one."

Her colleague watched on as she ran toward the danger. Her colleague spoke into the radio.
"Bravo One.. This is Bravo Two."

"Bravo One receiving."

"Hilary Johnson has entered the crime scene.. I repeat Hilary Johnson is now with the suspect."   

Chad put his hands his head. "Shit!!..Shit."
He spoke into his headset "Received.. Keep an eye on the situation.. Over and out."
