(Kenzie's pov)
*2 months later*
I haven't seen Schyler since the concert. I'm really worried. I've called her and texted her. No answer. I really hope she's okay. God, I'm gonna have a nervous break down soon. By best friend is gone and there is nothing I can do. I look at my phone to see if Schyler has replied to any of my messages.
Unknown: hey this is Austin. Do you know anything about Schyler's ex, Kyle?
M: OMG! Austin do you know where Schyler is? I'm gettin really worried!
A: yeah. She's with us.
M: why didn't she say anything to me?
A: let's just say it was unexpected.
M: can you come get me? I'm not gonna talk about Kyle over the phone.
A: yeah I'll be there in a minute.
M: ok.
I grab some clothes. If I get to see Schyler I'm gonna stay with her. I make sure to get her favorite beanie and her cousin's ring. After I make sure I have everything, I wait in the living room.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm gonna stay at friends house for a little bit."
"Which friend?" My uncle asks.
"Ashley."
"You didn't think about asking me?"
"I can take care of myself." I said. Before he could reply there was a knock on the door. My uncle got to the door before I could.
"Who are you?" He spat.
"I'm Austin. I'm here for Kenzie."
"Why?"
"Me and her need to talk. There was an incident and we are going out to look for Schyler."
"She isn't going with you." My uncle said.
"Yes I am. It's been 2 fucking months since I've seen Schyler. I plan on finding her!" I yelled and grabbed my stuff. I stormed out the door. I threw my stuff in the back seat.
"Why do you have so much stuff?"
"I'm staying with Schyler. I can't loose my best friend again. It's been hell not having her here."
"Did you just make a Sleeping With Sirens reference?"
"Maybe."
"Wow. You are one strange girl." Austin said.
"I'm not as weird as Schyler."
"That's true. Hell the last 2 months have been interesting."
"I bet. So what do you want to know about Kyle?"
"What all did he do? Schyler told me and ptv that he raped her but that's it."
"Well she was with him for 2 years. They use to be the cutest couple, but nobody knows what happened. Out of the blue Kyle started hitting her. And that lead to him well you know."
"So from what I'm getting, she just get caught in the wrong crowd." Austin said.
"Pretty much. Hell I haven't seen her happy, well that was until she met y'all."
"Have any of her ex boyfriends after Kyle beat her to?"
"Kyle was her last boyfriend."
"Oh. Dang."
"Yeah. And she really has trust issues. If she found out that I told you any of this, I will end up dead."
"Why?"
