Wednesday, August 30th
Today, I noticed a shift in our dynamic. Sophie seemed more confident, and our sessions flowed more naturally. After school, I met up with Mike and Jason again. They were curious about my new tutoring gig.
"So, how's it going with the new girl?" Mike asked, a teasing glint in his eye."It's going well," I replied. "She's really talented, actually. Writes amazing poetry."Jason whistled. "Sounds like someone's got a crush."I laughed it off, but their words stuck with me. Was it possible that I was developing feelings for Sophie? I pushed the thought aside and focused on our session. As the week went on, Sophie and I continued to bond over our love for literature. She shared more of her poems, and I found myself drawn to her quiet passion and intelligence. She was unlike anyone I had ever met.as just beginning.
