Today was particularly challenging. Sophie seemed distracted, her usual focus replaced by a quiet unease. I tried to get her to open up, but she was reluctant to talk about what was bothering her. We worked through her essay, but it was clear something was on her mind.
After our session, I lingered, hoping to offer some support. "If you ever need to talk about anything, I'm here," I said gently.
Sophie gave me a small, grateful smile. "Thanks, Ethan. I appreciate it."
As I walked home, I couldn't shake the feeling that something significant had changed. I found myself worrying about her, wondering what could be troubling her.
