Ch 26 How many is one?

After Rimaru and Kaidou worked out a sale for the portion, they went without Gobta to the smiths that Kaidou recommended, and the reason for not having Gobta along? Simple, he was asleep again. After getting to the smiths shop and Rimaru finding out that is Kaidou's brother Kaijin. And everyone knows how this song and dance goes. And they go to the elf bar known as 'Butterflies of the Night' and they have drinks and a red haired burly man was already drinking there.

Damn he looks strong but not many magiculs, not compared to those three. As Rimaru remembers the massive auras of the three girls vanishing after they left. "Hey who is that?" Said Rimaru looking at Kaijin.

As Kaijin looked at the bar, "oh that's Alex, he helps with military training for the nation," as Kaijin waved Alex over, "Hey Alex have a drink with us!" As Alex looks over and starts walking over to them.

"Hahaha," chuckled Alex, "I thought you were drowning in that work that Vesta put on everyone, but here you are."
"Well this slime helped us." Said Kaijin then explained what the slime did.
"Oh," said Alex, "then your dinking to celebrate hahaha serves you right for aiding in foiling Vesta's plans to degrade the smiths."
"Oh so you knew?" Asked Rimaru.
"Yeah it was obvious," said Alex, "even the king knows about it, so even if you failed. Vesta was the one that would get in trouble for it."
Kaijin chuckled at the news, "oh I almost forgot you haven't asked Rimaru your famous question."
"Famous?" Said Rimaru.
"Oh that question." Said Alex drinking some more ale, "ok here is the question. How many is one?"
"Wait that's it?" Said Rimaru.
"Yep." Said Kaijin, "he asks every newcomer the same question but he always gets the same answer, I don't know why he always asks the question."
"True they always answer with one but I want to see if someone can think the same way as I, i mean the king answered differently." Said Alex drinking more ale.

Mmmm How many is one? Wait didn't a famous king have that same question, if I remember correctly the answer is. "I think one can be a great many." Said Rimaru without thinking which caused everyone to be slightly stunned and Alex smiled.
"Oh," said Alex, "can you explain why?"
"Well I just remembered something about one person can be viewed and one but on grander scale it could mean one's nation, people, or country." Said Rimaru sheepishly which caused Alex to burst out laughing boisterously.
"You are correct about that," said Alex, "a person who can think that can always see glory beyond the horizon. By the way the name Alex is just my nickname."
"Oh then what is your full name?" Said Rimaru. Wait that quote I think I heard it from a manga and a small historical figure used to say, na how could that person be alive?
"My full name is Alexander the Great or Iskandar but everyone else calls me Alex." Said Iskandar laughing up a storm.

"Whaaat!" Said Rimaru. What how is a person like this here he someone from my world, wait the person from my history was supposedly short but this guy is a little over seven feet tall. As Iskandar was drinking his ale, hey great sage analyze him for me.

"Hey slime," said Iskandar through thought communication which surprised Rimaru, "it is common for people to assess other people but be more careful in doing it." As Iskandar was talking to Kaijin as some of the elf's came over for some merriment.
"Right" answered Rimaru as communication was cut off.

One of the elf showed off their fortunate telling ability and showed Shizu and the kids as minister Vesta showed up. "My," said Vesta, "should you be wasting your time with the deadline fast approaching?" Which caused Iskandar to chuckle under breath.
"I turned them in earlier." Said Kaijin as Vesta approach the group.
"You know what will happen if you don't finish them....," said Vesta finally understanding what Kaijin just said, "wait you're all ready done?"
"Yes do you want to see the invoice?" Said Kaijin.
"No, getting your job done in a timely manner is expected," said Vesta looking at Rimaru, "I'm more concerned about this monster here," looking at the bar owner, "why are you allowing such a monster in your establishment?"
"Well it is just a slime." Said the bar owner getting a tankard of fruit wine and giving it to Vesta, "here on the house."
"This is what you should do with a monster." Said Vesta pouring the tankard on Rimaru.
Well that's rude but he is a minister so I don't want to make a scene here. Thought Rimaru as Vesta went flying across the bar, WHAAAT!
"Hey Vesta," said Iskandar as he was the one who threw the punch, "that is a waste of good wine and I don't tolerate the throwing of ale or wine in my presence."
"You brute!!" Said Vesta as Iskandar walked towards him, "do you know what you just done!"
"Do you think I care." Said Iskandar cracking his knuckles, "now do you want more?" Which caused Vesta to run out of the bar.

"Do you think that was a good idea?" Asked Rimaru.
"Eh," said Iskandar, "it's not the first time I hit an official so let's just enjoy our drinks till the guards arrive" as he picked up his drink and chugged it down, "owner another round hahahaha." As the elf's sighed.
"Let me guess," said Rimaru, "he has done this before?" As Kaijin and the other dwarfs just nodded.
"Most likely we will get caught in it," said Kaijin, "so what if we come to your village for those artisans you need?"
"With you agreeing I don't have to settle." Said Rimaru.

After a few hours later the guards arrived and arrested Iskandar along with Rimaru, Kaijin and the dwarf brothers.
"Come on brother," said Kaidou, "you striking a minister?"
"Wasn't me this time," said Kaijin, "Iskandar struck him before I was, he insulted Rimaru."
Kaidou sighed, "still I have to bring you in. Guard." As they all were escorted to their cell with Gobta still sleeping in the cell.

What the hell!! Thought Rimaru, how is he still asleep!!
