The early morning sun cast long shadows across the park, and Issei impatiently tapped his foot, glancing at his watch every few seconds. He'd been waiting for Yuuma for a good ten minutes, and a mischievous grin spread across his face.
'She's a bit late,' he muttered to himself, a playful glint in his eye.
Just then, a woman in a striking, bat-like outfit approached him, holding out a brightly colored flier.
'Please check us out!' she chirped, beaming at him.
Issei, caught off guard, instinctively took a step back. 'I didn't mean to take one,' he stammered, holding his hands up in defense.
The woman just giggled, a flash of white teeth against her red lipstick, and walked away with a flick of her wrist.
Issei stared after her, then lowered his gaze to the flier, his eyebrows furrowing.
'We grant your wish?' he read aloud, his voice skeptical. 'That sounds like a scam.'
He tucked the flier into his pocket with a sigh.
'Issei-kun!' a voice called out from behind him.
Issei turned to see Yuuma rushing towards him, a sheepish smile on her face.
'Good morning, Yuuma-chan!' he greeted her, a genuine warmth in his voice.
'Sorry. Did I keep you waiting?' Yuuma asked, her cheeks flushing slightly.
'Oh no, I just got here,' Issei replied, suppressing a chuckle.
His mind raced with a secret thought: 'I always wanted to say that!'
Somewhere in town....
'Let's see... where should I go first?' Aebelle hummed, her eyes scanning the bustling town square.
Her white off-shoulder top and black leggings flowed with her movements as she walked, the black boots clicking on the pavement. Her gaze landed on a brightly lit game store, its window displaying a kaleidoscope of colorful box art. Aebelle's eyes widened with excitement.
'The Ancestral Re:Faith in Blade?' she whispered, pointing at the game with a mix of awe and disbelief. 'It's... it's the remake of the original!'
The game store beckoned her in, and soon she emerged with a triumphant grin, clutching the game case like a prized possession. The discount she received only added to her happiness. 'It's about a girl who was lost at sea and found with a family crest!' she chirped, her fingers tracing the artwork that depicted a beautiful woman wielding a katana with grace. 'I love katanas and lore!'
Aebelle decided to explore the town a bit more before heading home. As she wandered, she bumped into Issei and a girl with black hair.
'Issei!' Aebelle exclaimed, her eyes widening. 'What're you doing here?'
